Best British cuisine I’ve tasted! Everything was excellent from the fresh ingredients, the flavours of the dishes, and the chateaubriand was definitely a show-stopping dish! Perfect sized portion for 2 diners.
The service we received from the young lady and gentleman also made our night a great dining experience! All the food was well-priced for the quality and care put into every dish. Will definitely be returning here 🙂

I’m dairy intolerant and the team at The Cambian went out of their way to ensure I could enjoy lovely food during our weekend break at the hotel. Both the scone and the vegan croissant are the best I’ve ever had since going dairy free, and that’s not an exaggeration. Every member of staff was kind and attentive. We’ve eaten at Michelin starred places before and not had a nice a time as we had here. Exemplary. Wholeheartedly recommend. ❤️

We had mushroom arancini, followed by perfectly cooked and presented gurnard as fish of the day, finishing with a beautiful espresso martini pannacotta … but what made the evening stand out was the incredible staff … the service was attentive but not intrusive ..and everyone was friendly but professional..which meant we had an outstanding experience..Thank you Cambium.

I was expecting better for a 2 rosette restaurant, having visited a number of others. Perhaps I set my expectations too high. The starter and main were a little above average, not amazing, expected more.
On a positive note though the servers were brilliant and attentive. The espresso martini pannacotta dessert was a 10/10 also.

Wonderful attentive staff, 3 of the four courses were divine, was let down by the king prawn and crab cocktail, slicing a king prawn in half, and couldn’t see or taste the crab meat. Beautiful setting but not a lot of atmosphere sadly.
And be careful with the request for non alcoholic drink requests. That could have been tricky.

Lovely choice from the continental buffet and the cereals was great. The coffee on the first morning was great but very strong and bitter the second day. The eggs benedict and eggs hemming way were amazing but the buffet hot breakfast was a bit tasteless unfortunately.

Priced like a fancy restaurant. We had the tasting menu, all ok dishes but nothing with wow factor, tastes all melded into one with dishes tasting pretty much the same. The wine selection wasn’t too bad though.

Booked the Cambium for our first night whilst staying at Careys Manor Hotel and we’re not disappointed. Food was very good but service was spot on and all the staff wore masks which at many restaurants they don’t. Just a really safe and lovely experience.
