I have and will always love this place. Chicken is dynamite. Sauces are spectacular. Owners are good people. One of the few wing places where I think the boneless are better than the traditional.

Very delicious wings. But plan on a good wait. We took it to go and spent about 40 minutes there. And i wouldn’t recommend calling ahead because we were put on hold twice and left there for about 5 minutes each time. It is very affordable. The soda machine is broken but they had koolaid !

Great boneless wing. If you’re a skinny little guy like me, I recommend ordering more than 9 to fill you up.

Awesome wing place. I’ve been coming here for years. Great hospitality and they serve wings quick, with enough sauce to coat every bite.

There are likely more onion rings in the world than I will ever get to taste and review. However, each new onion ring review is some small attempt to chip away at the mountain that awaits me. After a brief hiatus, I have returned to my quest, with a review of onion rings from Wing Heaven, at the Wyoming (MI) location.

Presentation and Appearance: 2.5/5

These onion rings have a smooth and consistent breading, which is to their benefit. With a light, golden brown color, they are immediately attractive to the eye. Though the breading is somewhat gnarly, it’s consistently so, with no irregularities marring it up.

Given that I ordered take-out onion rings from a small wing restaurant, I didn’t exactly expect a beautiful presentation. My expectations proved correct. Wrapped in some slightly greasy paper and shoved into a styrofoam box with some spicy wings, it wasn’t great. The unappetizing presentation caused me to go into the actual eating with an air of suspicion.

Taste: 3/5

A strong onion flavor is evident throughout. This is far from a certainty, surprisingly. The core component of an onion ring is, after all, the onion. The taste was palatable, without being overpowering. Subtle, and mild.

The breading was lightly seasoned. It wasn’t excellent, but it did add adequate flavor. Thankfully, these onion rings weren’t greasy in the slightest. It did mean less flavor, but it did mean more *decent* flavor.

That said, there’s nothing that really stands out about the taste of these onion rings. They’re alright. Nothing worth writing an elaborate review on a blog about onion rings, though.

Texture: 1.5/5

Mushy with hardly a taste of crunch, the texture leaves much to be desired. The onion interior isn’t really an onion, it’s more like a white paste shaped into an oval, desperately trying to masquerade as a slice of an onion.

The breading is mealy, but it provides the only source of a crunch in the onion ring. There’s not much else to say about texture. There’s no part of it that makes a good onion ring.

Value: 3/5

While these onion rings weren’t really expensive (a little over $3), I found both the quantity and quality lacking. A pitifully small amount, it barely sufficed as a sufficient side to my boneless wings. Even if it was a mound, the weak texture and average taste didn’t make it much worth it.

Total: 10/20

Just came from there. We got mild, honey hot and lemon pepper wings. They were hands down the best wings we’ve had since moving to Michigan. If you’re ordering at dinner time it is probably best to call in your ordered. But it was well worth the wait. Also very nice and friendly staff. 10/10 will order again.

The wings came out fast and hot. They were cooked all the way through which is something I always look at in a wing place. I have had some undercooked by other places so it’s huge with me. The sauces were awesome! The boneless wings are awesome too, not too much breading. Definitely a must go place.

Honestly the best wings in are and best I’ve had outside of Chicago. They marinade, fry then sauce their wings unlike the areas other wing shops. Place is clean and smells amazing. So many flavors to choose from and some that you won’t expect but will blow your mind. Kinda wings you want to copy at home but can’t. Test my words and go

Juicy chicken and plenty of sauce! Tried most of the flavors so far and they are all really good. Better sauce quality and coverage than other places nearby. Edit: knocking off one star because I’ve tried to go 3 times within the last two months and they have been closed when their posted hours (on the door AND in Google) say open. Call ahead to make sure they’re truly open. If they don’t pick up, don’t bother driving out there. Their food is so good I’ll give it one more shot. Until then, hope they can ‘weather the storm’ and they aren’t closing!

The other reviews for this wing joint were pretty good so I thought we would give it a try. When we arrived the dinning room was empty, and there was only a single gentleman both working the counter, phone, and kitchen. The cash register area was cluttered with mail and bills, but if you dug around a little you could find a menu. The lone gentleman working was only the minimum level of friendly, but seemed like he was rally just tired. We had both the boneless wings and the traditional wings. The sauces were pretty standard, but they did have a few that I hadn’t run into before. The soda fountain was not working, and it looks like it hadn’t been for quite some time. There was however a small selection of canned soda, along with a machine full of Kool-aid. The wings were good, nothing mind-blowing, but good. The dinning room area could use a little attention, and the counter area could use a little straightening up, but overall it was okay.
