We ordered our food at 1:00pm. Our pickup time was set for 1:10pm. We waited in the drive through pick up line for 15 minutes, and were asked to come inside to wait. We were not given our food until 1:40pm. 6 other customers were waiting alongside me for their overdue take out orders. We are loyal chipotle customers, as many of your are, we have been to chipotle in probably 10 different states. This is by far the worst chipotle / restaurants we have been to. We were surprised our food wasn’t comped, or at least given a free bag of chips. To make things worse, my bowl had multiple pieces of pure fat / undercooked meat served in it as the steak portion. There are a few pictured. This was not a “employees did not show” issue. I counted 8 heads at one time with seemingly more in the back. From what my eyes could see, this was not an appliance issue – all their grills were on and in working order that I could see. There were 8 employees with no visible leader. This is a management / corporate issue. I would STRONGLY advise against eating at this location. There are other chipotle locations within 10 minutes that would be much cleaner, food better prepared, and better service. Chipotle corporate needs to fix this location or shut it down if they don’t want to put in the necessary work.

I recently had a to go order at the Chipotle location on 6500 Irvine Center Dr, 92618, and I wanted to share my feedback regarding my experience. Unfortunately, I found a silica gel packet in my salad, which was quite concerning.
Silica gel is commonly used to keep things dry, but it’s essential to note that it can be harmful if ingested. I felt it was my responsibility to inform the restaurant about this issue promptly. However, I was disappointed with the response I received from the General Manager, Shane.
Shane’s response merely consisted of an apology and an offer to return to the restaurant for a refund or to call a general customer service number. I must admit, I found this response inadequate and somewhat dismissive.
My primary concern was the potential danger posed by the presence of a silica gel packet in the food, especially if it had been consumed unknowingly, potentially endangering someone’s health, possibly even a child.
I believe such incidents should be reported to the public health authorities in Orange County to ensure food safety standards are upheld. Additionally, sharing this experience on social platforms could help raise awareness and encourage Chipotle to take further steps to prevent such incidents in the future.
Be cautious if you still wanna go there.

This was the worst chipotle experience I’ve ever had, and I do frequent chipotles all over. This is as an incredibly small portion in general. I ate it because I can’t afford another food option right now/wait for a refund ect. Not only was is half empty but as I got into the the rice was dry and hard, balled up in the middle of the bowl. And there was soooooo much spicy salsa it was almost inedible and I LOVE SPICY food. It was like a half order of hot sauce soup. Like the hot sauce is u see the sour cream soaking all the way through and coming up through the sour cream. You can see it pooling in the empty edge of the bowl. And the steak was old and dry and chewy. I’m honestly shocked at how bad the food was, in so many ways. I don’t have anything good to say. I had to add more sour cream from home because it was so spicy. Yuck.

I’ve been to many Chipotles over the years and unfortunately in my experience they’re trending down! This location is a prime example of that! Food is sub par, the line is filthy, workers don’t seem to be trained properly or motivated I can go on and on! They need the leaders to step up or be replaced! Accountability starts at the top!

First time ever at Chipotle, and I’ll tell you know I know why. Place was filthy and the atmosphere was a “NOT MY JOB” attitude. The countertops were covered with food all the tubs had old dried food and was mixed together from food falling into it while serving. The floors were filthy with chips, rice etc. The kids working were all on their phones, of course, all the while there was plenty of clean up to do. I can only imagine what it looks like where we couldn’t see.
