Great food. Ok service when finally seated. Terrible management of reservations (issue for them is getting first seatings out in time for next reservations), food to plate timing is slow even for a relaxed dinning experience. Meaning that a 7:30 pm reservation waits until 8:30 to be seated and 9:30pm to eat…. BAD

Food was great as was our waiter, Matthew. He was very professional and pleasant. The food is always outstanding. What ruined it for us was the owner’s sister, Maria. As we had just received our check and waiting for our waiter to take the money, Maria came over to us and, in a very loud and nasty voice, told us we had to hurry up and leave as they needed the table. It is not like we dilly-dallied during the meal. Food, etc. took a while to arrive which was understandable as it was Christmas Eve and the restaurant was busy. She totally ruined what was a lovely dinner. If she can’t handle a little bit of pressure, she shouldn’t be working in that position. She is a really bad representative for a great restaurant. She loudly berated us and embarrassed us in front of the entire restaurant. She absolutely RUINED our Christmas Eve.

My wife and I and 2 other couples went to Giorgia this past Wednesday. We’ve been there at lest a dozen times in the last 2-3 years.The restaurant was fairly crowded (as usual). The food was fine (3.5/5). Sadly, the service was horrific. We were there for exactly 3 hours. When we sat down, we didn’t see a server for almost a half hour. We had to grab one of the other servers to get our wine opened. Orders weren’t taken for at least another 15 minutes. We asked where our appetizers were and were told “I’ll check”. The server came back with the appetizers and said they’ve been sitting for a while and he was sorry. I feel like we would have waited much longer if we hadn’t asked. The 2 tables next to us were equally angry. They both demanded they pack up their meals to-go and not bother serving them. I asked the host if he could check on our meals. He told me he just seats people and it’s not his job. We finally got our entrees after almost 2 1/2 hours of sitting there. EVERY other table had the same problem. The server even told me that “there’s one table ahead of us, after they’re served, the chef will get to yours”.
Overall, the food was fine. The service and staff were stunningly bad and it’s incredibly loud. We might give Giorgia another chance midweek after the summer season ends. If it’s not an improvement, we’re done with Giorgia.

One of my favorite Italian places because it just lives very happily as a wonderful neighborhood bistro. Everything is perfectly cooked and presented without pretension. The staff are friendly and, moreover, real. You get the sense that that owner cares very much for people, which is reflected in the enthusiasm of the young waiters, even as they learn on the job.

This is my third time here, because I tried to give it a second chance (the food saved it that time). Don’t waste your time or money. Small place, very loud. Service is beyond slow, although staff is friendly. The pasta is okay, however I was shocked to see a microwave in the kitchen used with every dish out of the kitchen. Got a pork chop with caramelized vegetables but they were mushy and bland, seemed steamed (microwave). The pork looked fake and tasted like hot deli meat. Sorry to say I will not be coming back here.

8 of us went there on a Saturday night for dinner, reservations at 6 pm. We were seated promptly, took a while to take the order. The appetizers came out after a reasonable time, but the main dishes, my god, did not come out until 9 pm, that is 3 hours after we sat down. We were not happy and the “that’s the way it is” attitude of the waiter did not help, or that he kept avoiding us.
After reading the reviews from two years ago until now I can see they have not improved their service in weekends when they get busy (and very loud).
The food was good, but the service was dismal. You need to do a lot better when the place is busy.

We have been long time customers at this restaurant and we’re very disappointed with the food, service and atmosphere. Our pasta was cheap and undercooked. It took and hour and a half to get it. The waitstaff and hostesses were young and inexperienced, but were trying hard. The atmosphere was terrible — extremely loud and the tables and chairs were cramped. There are now too many tables with the outdoor seating for the kitchen to handle. We won’t come back.
