We stopped by on our way home from Devil’s Den! What a fun surprise! I’m always up for something new! I’ve never had a hamburger like this before! I got the cheese mountain burger just the way it comes! Meat,cheese, sweet relish, onions and mustard! Loved it! The folks working were really friendly and told us some stories of its history. I want to go back for another burger and try the milkshakes! Made the old way!

Unfortunately the mountain burger is not what it used to be. I was pretty disappointed. I drove over an hour just for the burger. Customer service was just flat out rude. Whoever was running the window was extremely impatient and short with me.. because my kids were asking questions about their special drinks. Honestly, that’s my last trip there. The burger was just thrown together.. entirely too much mustard, relish vs meat ratio. I could barely eat it… And I eat just about anything! My son’s “hot” ham and cheese was a cold piece of ham cheese on a bun….. They no longer have fries.

In the past 39 years of going here it’s only gotten better. The Cheese Mountainburgers with everything on them are amazing. I love their chocolate shakes, and everything on their menu. We’d go there after school nearly every day and it’s still amazing. Would 100% recommend this place to anyone. The original owners I grew up to know and love sold it several years back; and he must have passed on the family secret to their burgers.

Been one of the best Ice cream stops in the North West Arkansas Boston Mountains. Been here for over 60 years now. Stopped here with my dad back in the late 70’s and still go out of my way to pick up a shake!

Listen…. everyone knows that little hole in wall joints off the beaten path are where it’s at. Let me tell you….I have driven by this adorable little ice cream stand dozens of times. And today was FINALLY the day to stop. The mountainburger with cheese is like a grown man’s sloppy joe. It was so tender, and flavorful. It is cooked with love and experience. I highly HIGHLY recommend giving it a try! Best “burger” I’ve ever had.
And as if the food being amazing isn’t enough… the ladies that run this little hidden gem, are GEMS themselves! I learned a whole lot of history about this amazing little stand in about 5 minutes just chit chatting with these wonderful humans. I could’ve stayed all day, just because of them.
So, if you find yourself in mountainburg Ark. You would be silly not to seek out this spectacular little spot!
