I’ve been to many Korean spots in the city, but Onmi is doing something truly special. I’ve been visiting this place ever since it opened and had to leave a review to share how amazing this spot is!

Yesterday we decided to go Onmi for a treat.(again) We started with the Yuja cocktail, which was so refreshing and perfectly balanced—definitely a must-try. We also had soju and wine as well. For the main meal, we went with the large package, and it was spectacular. Every course was intentional, but the cold noodles were a massive highlight—the texture and flavor were exactly what I was hoping for.
The atmosphere is minimalist and chic, but the hospitality is what makes it feel warm. The staff is so attentive and clearly cares about the experience they’re providing.
I couldn’t leave without sharing the love, so I grabbed a togo order of the chicken and pancakes. I also noticed they sell their own kimchi, so I picked up two jars to take home to my parents. I honestly can’t wait to see their reactions because the quality here is just on another level.
It’s rare to find a place that hits the mark on food, vibe, and service all at once. Whether you’re staying for the full tasting experience or grabbing high-quality items to go, Onmi is a total gem. I’m already planning my next visit!

(For photos I added some of my favorites)
Happy hour, wine selection, Budae Jjigae (army stew) with dumplings, and bbq)

This is a steakhouse that turns grilling into an art form. The atmosphere feels refined and upscale, and the chef-driven tableside grilling makes the experience effortless—you can simply relax while the pros handle every detail. Cooked over charcoal, the steak develops an exceptional depth of smoky, beef-forward flavor. What truly elevates the meal, though, is how strong the supporting cast is: the side dishes are genuinely delicious, not just an afterthought. Highly recommended for anniversaries or any special occasion with your partner or family. I really recommend this restaurant

I came in and ordered the stone pot bibimbap and I absolutely loved it. I didn’t get to try the bbq, but it looked absolutely amazing. I will say however, I felt neglected, my tea and water was empty the whole time. And I’m not a needy person, I just need my food and water. But my stars I give are purely just reflected on the food and I enjoyed it.

I haven’t had great Korean food for a while. This place is it! First, banchans by themselves set the tone for the meal, everything was fresh, tasty, and prepared with delicacy and care. We started off with acorn jelly and it tasted so special with more nutty flavor compared to other places. There were three kinds of kimchi. The napa cabbage kimchi and mool kimchi were outstanding, while the bok choy kimchi was slightly salty on its own, but it paired perfectly with rice. Even the mixed rice they served was so sticky and flavorful that I honestly could’ve eaten just rice and banchans and been happy. Even the potato salad tasted light and refreshing. The kimchi stew had an incredible depth of umami, and although the steamed egg was slightly overcooked, it didn’t take away from the experience at all. The meat was sooo good. Beef ribeye, pork ribs, everything was fresh and tender and had this smoky flavor once cooked on grill. They just melted in my mouth. The squid and chive pancake was packed with chives, making it fragrant and addictive. Gamjatang was another surprise, so flavorful with meat that was unbelievably soft. By the time we were nearly done with the meat, I was completely full, but the dongchimi noodles!! They were served very cold at first, so the noodles were a bit firm, but after letting them sit briefly, they were so refreshing!!
I could really tell that everything was prepared with care. All these small details make me want to comeback and try everything else on the menu. Unlimited KBBQ spots are great too, but if you’re looking for a special Korean restaurant to share with special people, this is the place.

Fyi: there aren’t much photos because I was too busy eating.

What a perfect surprise. We were craving good Korean BBQ, but the places we checked out in downtown Seattle just weren’t looking appetizing.

We searched north, saw great photos and reviews, and decided to give this spot a try.

Didn’t realize the price point until we sat down—but we were open to it. Best decision ever. I’m actually legit upset I hadn’t heard of this place sooner because I’ve been wasting time, meals, and money at places that don’t even come close.

The meat was incredibly tender, juicy, and cooked perfectly by the team. The banchan was on point. Squid pancake was okay. The dipping sauce was extremely salty though—that was really the only food-related downfall. Still, everything else was such a delight.

I’m already recommending this place to all my family and friends
Another HUGE plus: I did NOT leave smelling like Korean BBQ smoke at all. Their hood system is amazing—every KBBQ spot needs to invest in this. I even dressed down expecting my clothes to smell, and literally nothing. I’m in love.

Only other note: the restroom had a strong urine odor. That was the only downside.

Overall, we’re definitely coming back.

My family visited ONMI for a Friday dinner, and it turned out to be a truly wonderful experience. The restaurant is brand new, yet everything already feels smooth and well-managed. We had a reservation, so there was absolutely no wait time.

The moment we sat down, water and side dishes were promptly served, setting a welcoming tone right away. Ordering was quick and efficient, and the service throughout the night was attentive without ever being intrusive.

A special shout-out goes to our cook, Khemon, who made the evening even more enjoyable. He was not only skilled at preparing the food but also incredibly kind and personable, which added a warm touch to the whole dining experience.

Food is absolutely gold. We ordered small combo, everything was good. Highly recommend the corn cheese and daejang soup.

Overall, ONMI delivered the perfect balance of great food, friendly service, and seamless management. Highly recommend visiting — we’ll definitely be back!

I’m writing this as I eat my leftovers. Im obsessed with the spicy soft tofu soup! The broth is made of bone broth and the spicy stuff when most places are water. The beef in the soup is great prime quality. The happy hour beef tartare was good! It’s on the sweeter side rather than the salty but the flavors really worked out. The service was nice as well! Andrew (i think that’s his name but young korean guy with tattoos) our server was the best.

Yeah this is pretty dead on what others say. It’s not pricey if you stay away from the BBQ grill side of the menu… in fact with the non-BBQ food combinations I think it’s very fair!

There is complimentary rice!!! They don’t charge you for rice, you just ask for it whenever you’re out.

I don’t think the food in terms of taste is a standout compare to neighborhood joints like Hae Nam and Old Village and Hoonsooyi. Everything tasted really fresh and clean though. And I mean some banchan are so clean….the broccoli and eggplant side dishes tasted a little bit like soap?!

Bossam was awesome – but it’s hard to screw up bossam though. Not enough lettuce to wrap properly.

Spicy bibim cold noodles are OK, more spicy than typical and on the blander side… we ended up adding saamjang to make it more salty.

Banchan are just OK too. Wouldn’t say there was anything standout. Favorites was fishcake and garlic stems.

Our favorite of the entire meal was the rice drink dessert, Sikhye. That alone turned a tamed 3 stars to 4 stars. We will be back for one more try and hope for better results because
….yeah like what others say you can get similar or better elsewhere for similar price.

We’ll give this place another try to be fair. Maybe it’s a one off.

The noodle dishes are awesome and so are the broths. Found the meats for grilling too fancy and not Korean style.
In a large strip mall.

Second time we did no grilling and got printed Korean traditional menu which was the best in Seattle.

Some of the noodles are so so but the Dongchimi noodle is amazing.

The place is clean overall.

Meat was amazing quality, and it’s so nice that they grill it for you – super attentive service and I loved the flakey salt + sauce combo. Banchan selection was the best I’ve had in Seattle, everything was so fresh and clean and it’s a massive variety.

We ordered 1 meat portion for 2, the soy marinated crab, cold noodles and rose toppoki. It was actually a perfect amount of meat for both of us. Loved every bite especially the marinated ribs. If you are into quality over undiscerning quantity (like mid quality AYCE kbbq) this is the perfect spot. Worth the drive from eastside and can’t wait to come back.
