The pastries are all right. The staff here kinda suck.
Im Hispanic looking and unfortunately, I don’t speak spanish, but they insist every single time in screaming at me in spanish because they can’t understand mine large coffee with caramel.
I come here every day 2 or 3 times a day.
Today I really needed to use the bathroom and
I asked if I could please use the bathroom and the manager started to scream at me that the bathroom was for customers only.
Explain to her.I understood.And that I just needed to use the bathroom that I didn’t want to pee.My pants before I grabbed the coffee or while waiting in line.
As soon as I was ready to go, buy my coffee in front of everybody, she decided to embarrass me and tell me that I needed to learn how to respect my elders.
And that I needed to learn how to not be so disrespectful, because I told her that I really needed to use the bathroom and I didn’t want to pee.My pant.
So to the skinny colombian lady who says that I should respect my elders You have lost a client today.
And I will be sharing my experience with everyone who asks about this place.
I will be going to the one in branford, only because the one on new york street horrible service

This place has good staff and a decent environment, but I’m very disappointed with their food. I could not find anything that didn’t involve paying for animal cruelty. All the pastries had eggs and dairy, and all the animals are eventually killed the second they are not profitable for these businesses.
It’s really unacceptable to have a coffee shop right in front of one of the best universities without offering even a single option for people to avoid supporting animal exploitation.
I will encourage my students not to come here but would be happy to support this place if they take action and change their menu.
If the owners need help changing the menu, I would be happy to assist and support.

Was just there today. Purchased two Iced coffee’s and a pound of freshly ground Guatemalan beans. Best coffee spot downtown. Great Value for your dollar, professional, friendly service. These women are experts at their craft. The store is absolutely immaculate, food case is always full with many options from sweet to savory. The best money I spend every week. Great to see such a great small business succeed

Ordered a scone and an ice coffee, scone is very stodgy and not crisp or crunchy at all. More like a bad muffin. Coffee was basic.
Location is convenient, and the interior is nice. Service workers seem over worked. The chairs at the tables are very low.

Very good coffee place with lots of sweets and cakes and different kinds of coffee and tea.
Loved it. Their italian macchiato is the best.
They don’t really have food or sandwiches, but some times they have bagels that you can have with cream cheese or butter.

Some of the best coffee in town , it’s good depending on who makes it though . They have the best chocolate chip cookies, bakery items, & pastries in town. Nice quiet study spot, the service also depends on the day / worker. Sometimes it’s great service sometimes it’s meh.

The coffee is not great, I would even go as far as to say it’s bad. The staff, though very attentive, made me feel rushed and pressured to quickly decide. I asked what a syrup flavor was, one I hadn’t heard before, and she just repeated back to me that it’s a syrup, then held the syrup bottle up when I asked what it tasted like.

I ordered a sandwich and was given the wrong one. When I kindly asked if they could change it, the worker got upset with me and proceeded to start talking about me in Spanish to the other worker. Well, I speak Spanish and understood every word. Really unkind service.
