firstly, i want to say we were charged $45 for plain fries (which we paid for loaded with beef and cheese, recommended by the owner), three tacos, and one chicken taco salad. my taco salad was in a tortilla bowl that looked as if it was from a walmart isle. the street tacos were dripping with grease and we actually ended up throwing them away. the chicken taco salad was drenched in liquid (unsure if this was grease or sauce) and tasted subpar. should have went to taco bell instead, probably would have saved us at least 25 bucks! save your money, their food is not authentic or worth the money.

They were nice, but 40 minutes waiting on chicken nachos that were stone cold when I got them. There must’ve been 30 people waiting around the truck like a scene with the villagers from Shrek with pitchforks demanding their food. Surprisingly, it still tasted decent even though it was tundra cold. Gonna pass next time.

Looks like I’m not the first person (and likely not the last) to make this review/post.

At the La Prada food truck this evening 8/21/25, when the price for my purchase wasn’t as expected, the owner told me that the posting on the truck was old, and that his prices had increased. He did not honor the advertised pricing. Unethical at the very least if not against MD laws. I will not visit this establishment again.

La Parada delivered an unforgettable dining experience! The ambiance was energetic and stylish—perfect for a night out with friends. The food was flavorful and thoughtfully prepared, and the drinks were top-tier.

What truly made the evening special was our server, Sharon. She was warm, attentive, and genuinely cared about our experience. From offering great recommendations to checking in at just the right times, Sharon made sure everything ran smoothly and made us feel welcome from start to finish.

We ordered from the taco truck. Biggest issue is $15 for a small order of nachos. Would recommend they rethink their prices.

shredded chicken tacos were amazing and so was taco salad. fresh cilantro, onions, and tomatoes, as well as great custom sauce served alongside tacos. couple running the truck are great, and would most definitely recommend going. not very cheap but most definitely worth it

Charged different prices from advertised menu (+$2), and the taco salad looked completely different than the picture. It was tiny for $15 (the size of a taco), the shell was baked and burnt, and the meat was cold.

Food truck in our neighborhood this evening. Ordered beef nachos and a can of Coke. Almost $17. The chips were quite good and the shredded beef was flavorful, but was in huge clumps. I pulled it apart, but shouldn’t have had to. I happen to like cilantro, so the tiny bit sprinkled on top was appreciated. Good thing I hate raw onions–there were only three small pieces, so easy to pick out. Would stink if I liked them. Literally 5-6 small pieces of tomato, but they were fresh. Can of Coke was $2+tax.

This was a $8-9 meal MAX. Profit margin was over-the top. I felt like I was at a professional sporting event. I wonder what they charge in Frederick (I’m staying in North Potomac…ooooh snazzy). No prices on the truck’s small menu, which leads me to believe they can be adjusted at will. No ingredients anywhere, either; if they were listed, I could have held the onions and requested more cilantro. Edited to add: I just noticed Google Maps shows their menu (as expected, lower pricez than what I paid) as well as a list of ingredients.

And a tip jar? Nope. Not because the service was poor, but I’m guessing the owner(s) were the ones running the show. That’s just an assumption, though. Some reviews say, “Great authentic Mexican food!!”, but there’s a Costa Rica sticker on the trailer??

Overall, just not a good purchase for me. If I could have given 2.5 stars, I would have.

I got the chicken quesdillas which was $13 for just 2 pieces. The cheese and chicken were not evenly distributed at all. The cheese was only in one part of it and The chicken was very tough. Disappointed
