I went for breakfast and tried the cinnamon roll pancakes, which is a signature item here and not was it the most indulgent and delicious thing I’ve ever had.
And they were massive and I genuinely could only finish one of them at the time. I don’t know if the picture does it justice to jshow how large it really was!
since I got a combo, it came with eggs as well as choice of breakfast meat, which I got sausage. The side of homemade applesauce was actually for the regular style of pancake I got which I was just curious what that would taste like together as I’ve never had it before. I enjoyed it, but actually liked eating them both separately more.
Everything came out of the kitchen quickly and I could tell this is definitely a popular morning spot with locals as the owner and other staff were very friendly and on a first name basis with many other patrons inside. Definitely my kind of spot.
One thing to note is this place is cash only, so keep that in mind but I do believe there was an ATM on site as well.

We went for a breakfast when it was very busy. All waitresses were super friendly and fast. Our breakfast omelette, Sandwich and hash were delicious and fresh. The prices are very reasonable.

This place is amazing! I came a year ago, so I had high expectations, but the menu of the day had peach and cream french toast, and its one of the best breakfast foods I have ever had. The fruit was fresh and sweet, fast service, and the quiche that was vegetarian was so tasty.

This was our first time here and we went for a late breakfast. Take note this is a cash only restaurant. They do have an ATM inside if you need cash.
The people, both employees and patrons, were all very friendly and talkative. A couple of the local men there for breakfast were fun to talk and joke with.
We seated ourselves and had instant service from a nice young lady who brought us our initial drinks (ice water for both) while looking at the menu.
My wife ordered the scrambler with bacon, spinach, broccoli, and provalone along with the standard potatoes and eggs. She also had the salt rising toast and coffee.
I ordered the omelet with ham, swiss, mushrooms, and very light on the green peppers. I also had the cinnamon raisin toast and milk. (The picture below was taken at about the half way point.)
The wait for the food took hardly any time at all. Both meals were delicious and filling. Everything was cooked perfectly, and there was plenty of fillings with both.
There were only 3 very minor negatives at all, and this is being really picky…
1. The amount of green peppers were excessive since I asked for “really light on the green peppers”. This is really a matter of opinion I’m sure, but it seemed like the amount that would normally be served.
2. The waitress forgot my milk until I was almost half way through my meal and I reminded her. She was busy, and immediately brought it when reminded.
3. The size of the glass of milk for $2 was rather small, about the size of a small juice glass. I know prices are high right now, but I can get a full gallon at the store for about $2.49.
Overall, the meal was really good as you would expect from a nice, small town restaurant. We would definitely return for another meal, maybe lunch or dinner next time.
Total cost of our meal, including a 20%+ tip for very good service was only $33 for both of us.

The food here is really good! We had the croissant sandwich and it was very buttery and delicious. Potatoes also yummy. We did come during a busy time, but the staff was miserable. Tried to stop the hostess to ask a question and was told your waitress will be coming. Didn’t even listen to what I was asking. Cute atmosphere. Hopefully you catch the staff on a better day.

This is a cute little diner that my husband and I stumbled upon during our weekend getaway to Jamestown. The servers were friendly, efficient, and attentive. We had the sausage and gravy biscuits breakfast and the cinnamon roll pancakes, which were HUGE! We only could eat half of them. For the quantity and quality of food that we got, the prices were reasonable. We were extremely happy and would come back again! Note that they do not accept credit cards.

The food and service at Village Restaurant are absolutely wonderful. Lana always greets you with a smile and is attentive to your needs. The horse decor is a big hit with the kids. Leslie doesn’t hide her disdain for people and love of cats which is very endearing. Also, and this can be very under appreciated, but it is the cleanest restaurant in town. Truly a treasure.

Summer
A restaurant that definitely doesn’t care about Covid spacing requirements. We should have known going in when there is a big sign out front saying, “I believe in the constitution! Open New York!” One of the employees walked around with no mask serving customers, it was shameful.
Food wasn’t bad but given their lax ideals regarding other people’s safety you have to wonder how they run their kitchen with an attitude like that.
