Very slow service the day I went with a party of 7 @ 12:45. The food was better than expected. I had the grilled chicken tenders. The fact that I ordered chicken tenders @ a rib shack she speak VOLUMES about the barbeque . Food was better than usual/expected. We did wait about 40 minutes soooo it should have been good. Just ok.

Sadly to say but the quality of service and food is getting worse. Ribs were burnt to a crisp, literally! Pulled pork seemed a day or so old. Very dry and had that reheated, buffet texture and taste to it. Sides were good though, one bright spot. The personnel consist of very young kids, lots of turnover at this one, who don’t care. It’s just a summer job to them without consequence. They are constantly on their phones either alone or in groups playing loud videos, talking loudly and carrying on. They have the personality of a brick! I am in my mid 30s and I don’t understand how the level of work ethic and personal pride that young people should have just doesn’t exist these days. I never see ownership in this location but they need to have a presence or something serious will go wrong here soon for them.

The girls at the counter are so sweet. The food is great. Doesn’t usually take long, but even if it did, it’s worth it. My food has always been on point. It does get busy on Sundays after church, and when I say busy I mean you may be waiting on a table, so if that’s a day you come on, check the dining area before you order. If it’s packed out, you may want to wait a little bit until you order your food. Great atmosphere.

We absolutely love eating at Shane’s rib Shack in Barnesville! Their smoked chicken is to die for. And the sweet potato fries were just perfect. It was very clean, and the employees were super friendly. If you go in, ask for Katie. She was so sweet and precious just perfect for this type of business. She makes you feel right at home and had suggestions for us to eat. She checked on us throughout our meal and we thought she was cute as a button! Go check them out!

Shanes is such a great brand, and the one in Barnstable was fantastic! I just love their barbecue and you just can’t beat Shane’s. Katie waited on us while we were eating and she did such a great job! Ask for her, most definitely, and she will take care of you. The restaurant was clean and service was quick. Definitely will eat there again.

I’ve eaten the food from here many time thru the years. Always end up with a pork plate ,which until yesterday I was always happy with. I usually get 3 to 4 sandwiches out of it. This time I managed 2. The baked beans were hot. The coleslaw was good but the pork was meh. Not hot and not as much as before with more fat than I care for. Sorry, but I won’t be back. I’ll drive to Griffin or make my own.

My experience is that my food was not heated up properly throughout, and I got their super early and I wish my order was given out sooner because I ordered early, and people behind me got their food. I believe it would been heated nicely if it was given but I understand although my order was fairly simple. In my opinion it was not worth the wait so thank you but no thank you. I will not try it again.

Honestly, the quality at this Shane’s had dipped in recent years. I used to be able to go here between classes at college, but not it takes a decent chunk of time to get even the most basic of orders. A big hit or miss issue for me here is the mac & cheese, sometimes it tastes homemade and other times it tastes like a grease ball. Not sure if they can monitor quality of food in the back to fix this or what. Also, they used to have a believe three sauces you could apply to your food at every table (my personal favorite being the mustard barbecue), but now it’s been limited to just the one original sauce. The fries here I also find a bit lacking, but there are about the same quality as a couple years ago, so if they were your thing back in 2015 then you will be fine with them now as well. Staff seems friendly and I do not think it is necessary to tip here since you get and refill your own drinks. My recommendation for food is just get a big dad if you are into pork and if not maybe just skip this restaurant entirely.

This place continues to go further downhill. After a previous bad experience we decided tonight to try again. We were told the stew wasn’t right and not recomended while placing our order . So we changed to another side. Our order came up , we took it home to find the potato cold, no butter, chicken on it cold, the pork on my pork plate was enough for a child, and mostly fat. I really wish they would get it together.

Line out the door, manager just watched. 2nd girl couldnt get into the computer so she made sweet tea with no sugar. 1st girl on register put her hands down her pants when she was talking to a customer. It was weird. Whole experience was a struggle. Great food, but poor customer service.
