Decided to try out this place since it was recommended. The food was one of the best JA I’ve had. I had the oxtail, curry goat, rice and peas and steam cabbage. The oxtail and curry goat was well seasoned and tender. I loved the steamed cabbage it was fresh, seasoned and crispy, not over cooked. I would defiantly go back to try some other dishes.

Let me roll back the tape My first time I ordered curry goat and a side of macaroni pie. I was kind of suspect on the macaroni pie because he got it out of of a pan and heated it in the microwave. Then he showed me how they they pre-make it and then they warm it up as ordered. I ordered a coconut water I think the distributor was from New York. When I got home got food was hitting the Mac was on point it was cheesy it was seasoned. The goat was tender you know a lot of people cannot make curry goat they just don’t know what they’re doing. They don’t know nothing about marinating no meat they just season it throw it in the pan and your chewing for 3 days. That coconut water that was trash it should have been in the trash. Three days later I returned and I got a stew chicken seasoning for them off the bone the cabbage superb, maybe two weeks later I went back and ordered some jerk chicken. They don’t have a drum outside I get it I don’t know if They are baking it or using some type of griddle. That beautiful young lady put some barbecue sauce and jerk sauce on top it appeared to be bright red when I got home it tastes like just bland season chicken I will never order that again. I took my nephew we got two orders of curry chicken and two beef patties that was very good as well. My nephew said he never had a softer patty and you know those young people they live off of beef patties. The service was wonderful from the young people all the way to the owners. I went there on a couple of times and it was really hot and they didn’t have soup. I’m not used to Caribbean places not having any red bean soup but okay it’s still a win. Will I patronize this establishment again every time I feel the urge I sure will. The kitchen has an open atmosphere you can see them cooking the food. Thank you for letting me be your customer, you know when you leave New York you always worry if you going to get good Caribbean food and I did.

Atmosphere was great being as though it was a festival. As far as food.. jerk sauce ran off of the chicken. Sauce looked more like a glaze. Service…horrible. the woman requesting orders from the truck was rude. She should’ve been left home. I seen a bunch of unorganization. For her to ask customers rudely if they would like to help because she couldn’t keep up…yes! Move to the side. I’d run circles around you. Attitude is everything when running a business. Sorry but I will never visit this location just based on her attitude. I’ll stay with my Philly food trucks. This is what mi jerk look like.. join us for a family function in the backyard, you won’t be disappointed! HOME COOKED WITH LOVE

I love their oxtails! They’re always very tender and flavorful. The rice and seasoned well and the cabbage is some of the best I’ve ever had. The owner is always very nice and welcoming, as well as the other workers.

Average-Sub par compared to other Carribean places in the area. With the limited menu and just okay food, I left feeling a bit disappointed. I got the Jerk chicken with rice and beans and the Jerk Chicken wasn’t spicy at all. The chicken portion was also a bit small but for the price, I guess the smaller portion makes sense. The rice and beans weren’t seasoned either and since the jerk chicken sauce was lackluster (not bad, just not anything special), the rice and beans left more to be desired. I also got the beef pattie with coco bread, which was okay but also lacking the spice and flavors I crave in a beef pattie! I ordered take out with a group and the consensus was that the plantains were good, while the oxtail was just okay – I didn’t try either of these myself though. The staff friendly, but was I bit turned off by the fact that they were eating and using bare hands while preparing our food. Maybe this is normal? It was hard to miss here because you can see their entire setup just from standing at the register. Overall, I only tried this place because Delicious Dishes was closed and the ratings looked good, but I probably won’t return.

Yea those fried plantains are dry af and the rice too. I got the veggie platter and drinks came to $13 plus $2 tip, that’s just me. I wanted to asked to use the restroom but nothing looked cleaned…nor did it look like they had one for public use, btw you have to ask for gravy or cornbread nothings complementary here.

Service was awesome, and they were very friendly. As for the food, I wish I could give a better review. The cabbage wasn’t good at all. Not seasoned and very watery. Oxtails was decent to me, but very little for $26. The plantains were sweet, but not cooked long enough. I will try them one more time, but staying away from the cabbage.

food so good i almost ate the damn plate!!! and it’s good priced too. 16 for a whole thing of goat and it’s a lot of it! easily feeds 2 people. and keeps them full . def going again!
edit: i went back a couple months ago and i forgot to update, but it was mad people in that joint that day and this one man said something smart to another person who came with me. i was reluctant to go back, that was a weird day. it’s usually only one man in there..

You have to ask for extra sauce because they never put enough. Ordered curry chicken and got the driest blandest chicken possible. Absolute Monstrosity. Crown fried chicken has better beef patties than this place.
