Happy Garden is honestly my favorite spot for Chinese food. I’ve been coming here for a long time and the food is always really good — it’s one of those places I keep going back to because the flavor is consistently great.
That being said, the hygiene is pretty bad. The place really needs better cleaning and overall upkeep. It’s frustrating because the food is amazing and it could easily be a perfect spot if the cleanliness matched the quality of the meals.
I still like eating here because the food is that good, but the hygiene situation definitely needs serious improvement.

I have always had good food here, whether it be take out or eat in. The buffet is always good, and to go orders have always been fresh, hot, and delicious. Not today. I ordered to go and ran to pick it up on my lunch – sesame chicken and crab rangoon. When I pulled in the parking lot, it was packed, the busiest I have ever seen it. My order was ready when I got there. I got back to work and tried to eat, and it was awful, and literally not edible. The chicken, rice, broccoli, everything had a horrible burnt taste to it. The chicken was like trying to chew rubber, and I gave up on the rice after two forkfuls, it was beyond dry, and soy sauce did not even help – speaking of sauce, there was NO sauce of any kind on the food, and usually there is plenty. This order was not made fresh – I have a feeling it was put together off the buffet or with some food that had been sitting somewhere very unpleasant for a while. I found two small pieces of chicken in the whole order that were edible that I could actually completely consume and swallow. Thankfully, the crab rangoon was good and edible. The rest is going in the garbage. Total waste of money today and I will be very leery about ordering take out from them again. They obviously could not keep up with how busy it was.

Been here a few times, smaller buffet with one hot island and a desert island, they basically have just about everything I like for hot food!! Food is watched and kept fresh, really comfy chairs. Attentive workers, if you need a refill on your drink.

The food is very good by entree or on the buffet, which they work hard to keep topped off. Family run businesd, and the owner’s children Eric and Joy are wonderful helpers! They jump in when not making beautiful origami creations, and Mom and Dad keep a close eye on customer needs!! With a few building upgrades, to include improvements in the bathroom areas, this could be a top notch fine dining location. Visit any day of the week except for Monday, when they close to enjoy family time!

Foodwise, this is in close contention to the best Chinese buffet I have ever had. The sauces used for the chicken is unmatched and the lo mein has this unique, almost sweet taste that’s just amazing. Superrr cheap compared to other places and a suprisingly good selection considering how small the town it’s placed in. The staff are also very friendly!

I wouldn’t eat here again or recommend it to anyone. Food was not hot, you could tell it had been sitting for hours and was dried out. A couple of the meats were burnt, they had something called a “lobster roll” which was pretty much just an egg roll with a whole hot dog down the center . Poor customer service as well.

$11.25 GREAT BUFFET! Excellent little place, don’t be put off by appearance. All the food is fresh, nothing been sitting for hours. Very tasty, one of the best I’ve been to in a long time. Place is clean and “functional”. If you want ambiènce, get your food to go!

We got there about a half hour after opening and the food on the buffet (presumably from the night before) was dried out and not yet warmed up fully. It’s a miracle we didn’t all get food poisoning. We were hesitant to try just because of the overall state of the outside of the building (not well maintained) but we were hungry and needed a quick bite. The actual flavor of the food was average at best. It was pretty dreary inside, no music or lighting except for the lights coming in the windows. This was close to lunchtime on a Sunday so based on it not being very busy on a weekend I can tell they are struggling. A little investment on the overall look of the outside of the building would make this place much more inviting. I feel really bad giving them only 3 stars I know they are just trying to survive but I need to let the people know the truth. Maybe lunch isn’t the time to go, maybe the fresh food doesn’t come out till dinner time.
