Hand an excellent first experience here! We came here for a date night and we’re impressed at the detailed decor, delicious food and creative drinks! They were slightly slow on the service but it was quite a busy Saturday night. Their pasta was some of the best I’ve had, and may even rival Grist! Another excellent date spot in downtown, highly recommend!

This was one of the strangest dining experiences of my life. To start, we were here to celebrate my brother’s birthday, so we had reservations a couple weeks in advance. When we arrived, the hostess looked panicked and confused, then finally found us a table. We sat at that table nearly 20 minutes without even getting water. I walked to the server station to request a server, and a few minutes later that same hostess came to our table with water and asked if we were ready to order. When I asked if we would be getting a server, she said that she was our only option because they were understaffed. There were at least 6 other servers in the restaurant and we were the only table with the hostess as our server. She honestly ended up taking better care of us than I expected, but was clearly inexperienced and should not have been put in that position. We felt like management simply didn’t care about us or her as an employee frankly. She was super young and lacked professionalism with some noises she made, at one point even meowing. She often had a look of panic on her face and sprinted around the restaurant but at least she seemed to care. We also ordered two different types of Negronis which the advertised highly, and they were out of ingredients for one and the machine didn’t work for the other. On a positive note… the food was great. The apps, pastas, risottos, and steaks were all perfectly seasoned and cooked. It’s a shame the unorganized front of house kept this from being the experience it should have been.

Restaurant is a cool place to eat. We had the filet and another steak had to send one back because it was very much over cooked. Espresso Martini was great. Very convenient if you are going to any of the venues to see a show/play. Downfalls of the restaurant were that the two people seats are almost right on top of each other so not very intimate can easily over hear what everyone is talking about. Over all food was slightly above average to good but a bit expensive for what it was.

We had an absolute lovely time here last night for dinner. The food was absolutely amazing. Everything was so fresh and full of flavor. We had the gnocchi which was so aromatic and had such a harmony of flavor. The Burrata appetizer was phenomenal. The carbonara was an excellent. The steak was beautifully seared and the bone marrow garlic butter it came with was one of the best steak pairings I’ve ever had. The drinks were lovely and they even went out of their way to make our 1st wedding anniversary special!! The service was absolutely flawless. We thank everyone so much for making our night special.

10oz filet was excellent. Cooked exactly the way I asked for and well seasoned. The house butter really complimented it and added to the flavor profile. I also got a side of asparagus that had a nice char and seasoning.
Ariel was an excellent server. Almost like she was there without being there. Sort of glided in and out with perfect timing. I’d recommend them for a nice dinning experience with good food. It is on the pricier side, but well worth it

Food was exquisite. From the grilled tomatoes to the steak to the sweet potatoes and apples to the salmon. Was worth every penny.

I attempted to find an email address for Bistecca to inform them of our experience privately as I’m not the type to blast local businesses publicly but couldn’t find a contact. That said, I’m hopeful they can take the feedback and make improvements for future guests and to better the experience they provided to us. What you see pictured is Cacio e Pepe. I’m not sure if this was “their take” on the dish but I certainly could have prepared it better in my own home. It was basically egg noodles in bone broth – not at all the thick, creamy, Romano infused dish I was anticipating. My husbands shrimp diavlo pasta dish, was also disappointing and coated in a flavorless pomodoro sauce. My last complaint – was their wine options (very limited) and the pour size. Both of our $14 dollar pours were noticeably on the small side.
That said, we will not be back. I love nothing more than supporting new, local, spots but this was a big waste of money and not a place we’d recommend to others.

My first visit to Bistecca on Friday, September 19, 2025, was unfortunately a letdown. While the interior has a nice, modern and chic vibe, it feels much smaller in person than it appears in photos.
The close-set tables immediately presented an issue, as my friend and I were seated next to two unrefined women who held two separate phone conversations on speakerphone for nearly their entire meal. Their lack of manners made it incredibly difficult to have a conversation and enjoy our dinner.
The food and service were also underwhelming. My martini was disappointingly small, and while the burrata appetizer was delicious, it was the only highlight of the meal. Our server, though friendly, seemed distracted and had to retake our order after forgetting it the first time. I even ordered a different 2nd drink that never arrived.
For our main courses, my friend found her eggplant parmesan to be subpar, while my mushroom risotto was unappetizing in both color and texture. I only managed a few bites before giving up on it. After being so thoroughly disappointed, we decided against ordering dessert.
Overall, Bistecca is not a restaurant I would return to or recommend. The quality of the food does not justify the high prices, and the atmosphere was ruined by uncouth patrons.

Honestly, the food was horrible for the price. The redemption came from the burrata appetizer, which was delightful despite the odd sensation of the burrata being ice cold against the hot broth and veggies. We also enjoyed the olive oil cake.
However, the renowned porterhouse-style steak was sub-par at best. It was cut for us, so by the time it got to the table it was cold. It also seemed like whomever cooked it didn’t know how to cook a steak. The outside was so charred it tasted burnt, with little care given to properly cook the inside. We ordered two side of asparagus (one would have been enough for two people) and mine was so charred they tasted smoked and they were inedible.
I could justify the money we spent on the bottle of wine, the appetizer, and the dessert. Unfortunately, the main course was probably only worth about 20 dollars compared to the 100 we spent on it. Very disappointed and likely will not return :/.

Maple Apple Old Fashioned. Excellent service, ambiance. And the food is amazing. Jacob is a master. You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu.
