Reviews
The food is great, I got a pot of special tea and it felt amazing. I had their soup and dumplings which tasted so unique to anything before. The lambs chops were exquisite and soft. They were very generous with the portions and the rice. The only thing is DO NOT order the CHEESECAKE! It is store bought and then tastes like it was frozen. Just don’t do it.
The people running the place are very friendly and it is truly a unique locations.
Would 9/10 recommend
The owners are a kind and knowledgeable Uyghur couple and were welcoming. If you’re interested in learning about their culture, they’ll be more than happy to share. We love exploring different cultures, and we had such a great time chatting with them.
As for the food, we were pretty hungry after touring the city, so we ordered a Chuchura soup to share, along with Uyghur Polo with lamb and Uyghur noodles. The Chuchura was a hearty soup filled with mini dumplings and vegetables it was comforting and flavorful. I definitely recommend giving it a try!
The lamb polo was delicious. The rice had a sweet touch from the raisins, which paired beautifully with the incredibly tender lamb shank. The Uyghur noodles were fresh and topped with beef and vegetables, served with a bit of broth at the bottom. They were spicy, but I really enjoyed the fragrance and unique flavor it was very different from any other noodles I’ve had before.
They also start you off with warm bread and two sauces, which was a nice.
Prices are reasonable, especially considering the generous portions. The atmosphere is warm and culturally rich. I highly recommend trying the traditional Uyghur seating for a more authentic experience!
This was the first time that we tried the Uyghur cuisine. So they explained to us very well
Food is not spicy. . Portion size varies from dish to dish.
Hummus was good
Turkish coffee is a must try. Honey Walnut cake was very good. But the slice was small
Ambience is good Enjoyed looking around the cultural information and artifacts at the restaurant
Restroom was clean
They customized a meal according to our needs. It is a cool place to have time with family and friends.
Highly recommended!
