Fun 2nd wave coffee shop. Food looks good but didn’t try it. The coffee brewing approaches could be updated with some barista training. Lots of fun comfy seating. Very close to Asbury.

Solomon’s Porch is a great place for breakfast or lunch. Creative and expansive menu of some unique twist on some old favorites. The menu is full of Biblical references for their items which adds to the charm of Solomon’s. I had the Babylonian which was a thick slice of baloney, fried and topped with American cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion and mayo on white toast. If you grew up with these sandwiches then this was a definite winner. Wide selection of fountain drinks along with bottled local sodas. Real creative coffees and teas as well. Limited seating but still it was fun.

Food is good, really enjoy their sandwiches and sometimes get their salads and soups. They have good seasonal food options. Also great service.

The atmosphere is overall cozy and I love the big windows letting in natural light, and the little fireplace in the corner makes it cozy.

Their specialty coffees tend to be not as much my favorite (too sweet) so I normally get drip coffee. There’s usually at least 2 types of drip coffee available, which is nice.

Seating can be limited for larger groups.

Kind folks -especially to someone traveling through. Despite being a “college town” you’ll find folks of all ages, most Christians -but many willing to chat. The barista was cool, and made us feel welcomed.

A delightful local breakfast/lunch restaurant. Portion sizes are very
generous, and the staff is always kind and helpful. My favorite sandwich is the King Solomon…turkey, ham, roast beef, cheddar, Swiss, tomato, sprouts, and mayo on whole wheat… excellent! And the crumb cake!? And the coffee!? Yep, I’ll be back!

The recent renovation is amazing! It feels so clean and fresh while still keeping that homey, hometown charm!! Upgrades on the menu weren’t even needed but made it that much better!! I’m a big fan of the customizable breakfast burritos and pancakes for breakfast and the CS Lewis sandwich for lunch!! Unsure if they upgraded their espresso machine but it also seems their lattes and coffee drinks have gotten better as well! Such a gem in Wilmore!

Solomon’s Porch is a hidden gem that anyone in the Lexington area should make the trip and visit. The food is delicious, the staff friendly and the prices down to earth.

Need a new breakfast place, come here. Need a spot to enjoy a cup of coffee and read your favorite book, come here. Do you want to sit back and relax and catch up with old friends, there’s no better place to do it.

The owners are wonderful people who care more about the welfare of the community and it’s people than they do about themselves.

Go in, enjoy yourself, and round up to the next dollar and pay it forward to the next person.
