It’s really hard to find a Muffaletta sandwich at all in our area so we were really excited to try this. It did not disappoint and we enjoyed it immensely. I can’t wait to go back and try out some of the other items on the menu. Friendly staff, nice location and a cute shop.

Nice place to stop and buy some croissants and other goodies. The slo outlet is closed on Sundays, so this is close enough to drive up and get a wider assortment of items such as the croissant sandwichs and cafe.
This is so much better than a doughnut shop if one has cravings for really good almond or chocolate, or both, croissants!
The breads are good too, but the French pastries take the cake 🙂

The ambiance is cozy and warm. The staff is friendly. The metal chairs have cushions, which we appreciate. The pasties are presented well. The food is inexpensive, and portions are good.

Despite the lack of a resemblance to any back porch I’ve been in, this place was pretty good! We had a great time exchanging the croissant for a brioche bun on one of the sandwiches, which was about a full inch thick and incredibly tasty. The espresso was good here too. All around a great stop in Atascadero

Excellent bread and pastries. Good coffee. Service was fine with one lady of few words. Small setting with options inside and out.

I just went to the bakery for the first time and have been wanting to go for a long time. I was excited to go, but disappointed with the young man that worked there this morning. 11-16-25. He didn’t seem like he wanted to be there and hurried me along. No smile at all until it was time for me to pay and leave a tip. That is when he actually smiled and became friendly all of a sudden. As soon as he was done he went right to his phone over the display case. Once I have a bad first impression I will no longer go back. What a disappointment. The young lady working there that morning was total opposite. Very friendly and always smiling.

Holy moly crazy delicious bacon-dates scones. Unlike most scones from elsewhere, theirs has a nice crunchy exterior with a dense but moist center. A perfect light breakfast to go with the smooth coffee in the morning. A great find in the central valley.

I went up to Atascadero to visit family this weekend and came across this bakery. Soon Saturday we decided to stop in and see what they had. Silly me asked if they had any specials like a Bakers Dozen, as if they were selling donuts. I felt embarrassed after I heard what I had asked but I couldn’t take it back. I ended up buying only 8 pastries but the young man behind the counter still gave me a discount! Then just before leaving to come back home today we stopped in to buy more, so that we could bring some pastries home with us since they were so delicious! I got 10 pastries this time and I didn’t ask any silly questions this time either. The young man once again helped me out by giving me free pastries. I will definitely be stopping there again when I visit again. The pastries are delicious and the service is great! This place is a great place to visit!

I only buy one item here, Country Loaf, which is very good. The 2 star rating is for the lack of variety at this bakery. A few croissants and some rolls. A really good bakery has a large variety of cakes, pastries, muffins, scones. This bakery, while what they do is good, leaves much to be desired. Pictures are of other bakeries.

The food is great. I’ve never been disappointed. A 4-star for the number of patrons they can accommodate isn’t much but improved since adding bar stools. I’ve been coming for years and there have only been 3 tables max, but you can sit outside and the table turnover is fairly quick..
* side note*
The hotel is doing some renovations, so the kitchen isn’t offering hot food items. They can warm up a muffin/roll, etc, but eggs, bacon cheese related items are not being offered at the moment.
