One of the best dining experiences I’ve had in Chicago!
My sister and I came to Stetsons Modern Steakhouse + Sushi for a girls’ night and everything was exceptional from start to finish. We decided to trust our server, Anthony, with the entire menu — and he absolutely delivered. His recommendations and wine pairings were spot-on for every course and truly elevated the whole experience.
We ordered a mix of sushi and steakhouse classics, and every dish was outstanding. The Sunset Roll and Dragon Roll were packed with flavor, the Shrimp & Scallop Roll was fresh and bright, and the 10oz Filet Mignon was perfectly cooked and melt-in-your-mouth tender. The sides were just as impressive — especially the grilled corn with lime crema and chipotle dust and the creamed spinach. The crab cake was another standout with almost all crab and barely any filler.
Between the incredible food, the cozy upscale atmosphere, and Anthony’s thoughtful, attentive service, this was an unforgettable night. Highly recommend Stetsons whether you’re staying at the Hyatt Regency Chicago, planning a date night, or just craving amazing sushi and steak in the same place. I’ll definitely be back!

I have no idea how this place has more than one star. Besides the staff there was nothing tasty that we ate. The crab cake tasted fishy and raw, sushi was without flavor. The French onion soup was decent, but can get that cheaper somewhere else. The prices were so high. It is in a hotel, so unless people visiting think this is what Chicago has to offer, OMG!

This place is so much more than just beautifully decorated. It blends marble, leather, and wood in an elegant and cozy atmosphere. Yes, the food took a little while to arrive, but just the right amount of time to bring out truly spectacular dishes. The service and attention, while not the most outstanding part, were still very good.
When people say this place is worth it for everything, Stetsons truly proves it. For me, it deserves a solid 5 out of 5. Excellent dishes, prepared with care and patience—the way a great restaurant should. I loved it, and I’ll return every time I can.

Food is great. Happy hour daily from 430-6pm. Select sushi rolls, wine and cocktails. Oysters were great. The hot pepper spicy mayo was very hot…be warned. The surf and turf roll was good bit I think asparagus over powered it. $40 is chicago price for sure.

My boyfriend and I came in for a belated Valentine’s dinner, and our experience was phenomenal from the moment we walked in to the moment we left. Anthony, our server, was attentive, patient, and extremely knowledgeable about the menu. The gentleman assisting our table was also very attentive and kind. We had a later reservation, and our dinner ran a bit past closing time, but he never once made us feel rushed. He continued to provide excellent service and made sure we fully enjoyed our evening. His professionalism and kindness truly stood out and made our night feel special. We’ll definitely be back!

We arrived at happy hour and Chris helped us to nice happy hour drinks and sushi. Very nice. I recommend the Ken forester chenin blanc reserve(South Africa, Africa ). We reviewed the dinner menu and decided to stay for dinner and ordering a wedge and soup and a loaded baked potato. Staff was gracious and the atmosphere is comfortable and relaxing. We like the jazz music being played. The salads were delicious. The soup was cold so we asked that it be sent back and returned hotter. The baked potato is not done. Next time we’ll try steaks.

During a recent family visit to Chicago, we had the pleasure of dining at Stetsons Modern Steak & Sushi, located within the Hyatt Regency. We enjoyed two visits, and both were exceptional experiences!
The highlight of our evenings was the impeccable service provided by Jesus, who was attentive, warm, and ensured our meals were perfect from start to finish. Both the sushi and steak were prepared to perfection, with every dish being fresh and flavorful.
The combination of excellent service and outstanding food made each visit truly memorable. We highly recommend this restaurant and look forward to returning on our next trip to Chicago!

Staying at the hotel and it was way to cold to go walking to anything downtown. I was very impressed with the meal and service. Barbra was a very attentive server, I never waited on anything. Food was cooked to perfection, Sushi was amazing. highly recommend trying them out when in town.

We attended a private function business dinner, and as always, had an excellent experience. Not only was the food delicious (I had perfectly cooked, medium-rare prime rib), but the staff was extremely attentive and personal. We’ve been attending this function for a number of years, and are always so pleased with the experience. Hussain and the rest of the staff are really on top of making everyone in the party feel welcomed and important. We’ll be back for sure!
