I stopped by here as I was in the area taking some pics. I had this place in my radar to visit. The gentleman behind the counter if you was chowder in a sourdough bowl come in Friday and before they sell out. Well I made it today and it was AWESOME. The sourdough was crisp and the chowder was AWESOME. The staff worked fast getting food out and they all worked well together. Definitely a place to visit again.

San Francisco Sourdough Eatery is this hidden gem in the Chevron gas station. The service times are consistently lengthy, but the sandwiches are always great and keep me coming back every time I’m in the area.

The best sandwich on the menu is the turkey avocado BLT. It’s tough to recommend anything else when this sandwich is steps above the rest. If you get a soda, you can fill up at their drink station, or waltz over to the gas station one which has 3x the options.

Be prepared for a decent wait time on your sandwich. The fastest I’ve gotten mine in the 15+ years I’ve come here is 8 minutes; the longest is 20 minutes, with the average around 12-15. It’s worth the wait. They’ve got a small dining room to eat at, or just take it to go. It’s a sandwich after all. I had to go 4-stars because the service is never something to brag about, but this place is a must-stop if you love a great sourdough sandwich.

Worst customer service experience in my life. Got there at 1:15 and they were doing a “shift change” which took 30 minutes!!! Who does a shift change during lunch? The guy did not care at all about making people wait that long. I will never go there again. It’s too bad because the bread is pretty good. Do not go there unless you are prepared to wait and you don’t care about getting treated poorly. Logan is the worst. He should be fired.

It was a really good sandwich! The Cole slaw wasn’t my favorite but the sandwich was amazing! The sour dough club was my favorite. It’s also nice that it’s part of a gas station we went and got a drink from the gas station instead of soda.

I’m a little disappointed. I ordered the club sandwich and ended up with what’s in the photo. The guy at the window kept asking me if I wanted everything on my sandwich, which was a little confusing because I just wanted what was standard on a club sandwich. No clue what I ended up paying for, but it wasn’t what I ordered.

Wanted to take my wife out for a quick lunch date. We’re living in Payson and we wanted to try somewhere closer but we saw sour dough and couldn’t resist. We tried two signature sandwiches. The sourdough club and the pastrami topped with coleslaw. Both very different but very good. They said the first started in Boise and the owner really wanted to bring it down to Utah. We decided to buy two loaves 21” to take home and make French toast out of. Both of them were only 4 dollars. Yup coming back!

This was a $5.49 sandwich…really really small portion size for that price. The warm bread was good, but a cold sandwich the bread was tough and chewy. For the prices and portion sizes…go downtown for subway or jimmy johns. Service was slow but friendly.

Wow, like wow is this sourdough good. I bit into my sandwich and could feel the nice warm sourdough before my tongue registered the taste. A must stop by if you are in the area. I am always surprised by some of these gas stops with cool restaurants attached to them.

The employees don’t know how to make proper sandwiches. My husband and I ordered pastrami sandwiches. They were cold like it was a turkey sandwich or something. When I asked about it. The response was well that’s how we make it. Uhh just shoot my money back. Waste of time. And the “manager” shouldn’t be a manager. Truly. This place sucks.
