My husband and I stopped in for a late lunch & ordered a few rolls – the Dallas roll and fried salmon roll. Both were absolutely delicious! The fish is very fresh tasting. The owner came over to our table and offered us complementary saki as well. What a great experience highly recommend!!!
Second time – Just as great of an experience going again!!! We had the tempura green tea ice cream and the lobster roll. 10/10 highly recommend. Very tasty, very fresh and very generous portions. Service is great too.

Cute store with an easy layout. We came with a group of 8 and ordered quickly at the counter and had the food come out fast! The quality and portions were amazing, and the price was very reasonable. Great bento boxes, lovely tempura, beautiful rolls, yummy soup, and excellent noodles. Very good food.

Husband and I were looking for some cheap sushi at Dallas. Then we found this place. We ordered a set of sushi B, two spicy salmon rolls and a scallops volcano roll.
Sushi B is ok. If it’s got man, you will need to order more.
Spicy Salmon Roll is very interesting. It’s a “Spicy” and “Salmon” roll like they just put the spicy sauce on the salmon. It’s not the normal spicy salmon roll you will get.
Scallops Volcano Roll is yummy. We both enjoyed it. It’s spicy but sweet from the scallops. Recommend dish.
The staffs are very nice and the place is clean. So if you are looking for a cheap sushi for dinner, it’s the place to go!

As one customer that has been going here for four years, I understand that things are going up in price everywhere and I don’t mind paying a little more for. But the price I paid for my roll combo is too steep. It’s true what the last person said, about there being more rice than other ingredients. And the rest of the meal suffers from that. The atmosphere of the place is also different. I miss the old soundtrack that was playing on the speakers. Now it’s just really loud hip hop. Im saddened that the old owners no longer there and I wish them the best in their new endeavors. I will greatly miss them as they were the ones that made Tampopo a great restaurant. I will continue to go there but not as frequent as I used to, just to reminisce on the good memories there.

One of the best bento boxes I’ve had in a long time. Everything was fantastic from the pork cutlet to the tempura vegetables. Will definitely be having lunch here when I’m in the area in the future! Only thing not in photos is the miso soup you get for a starter. It was also good.

Tampopo was something completely unexpected. Read some reviews online when I was looking up some of the best Japanese to eat in the DFW area, and decided I’d try this restaurant for dinner. Well! Blew my mind! Service was wonderful and the food was also completely amazing. Their prices are also great! Needless to say, I’m going to be back time and time again when I come to the area.

I was really craving some sashimi. I haven’t had any since the pandemic started. I went to Tampopo and ordered the chirashi bowl and some Japanese Croquet. Reasonable prices and plenty of food. Will be back.
