Overall, i loved the vibe, the service. They were very helpful & informative waiters and waitresses.
However, food were completely underwhelming. It’s decent but it’s not the best. Simply it didn’t hit the spot. Especially the beef tartare came out looking a bit grey-ish and not bright red, fresh meat.
Cute, beautiful place to dine in too but the space is limited. Our table was too small to fit 5 people.

Still prefer tor bar. Menu skews towards the “healthy” and is more diminute. Salon is nice but lacks the noir charm of their Mitte location. Also acoustics weren’t the best but that also depends on how inconsiderate your table neighbours are with their chatter level — we unfortunately sat next to quite drunk hysterical laughers.

Tartar portion was way too small, even though tasted great. We were sitting at the back near the bathrooms/kitchen and it smelled of food from the kitchen, which wasn’t so pleasant, the ventilation system could be improved

What a great addition to the restaurants in this Kietz … a relaxed, almost french inspired atmosphere. Small tables on the pavement – watching people and enjoying great wine and excellent dishes.
Most guest agree that the meat dishes are excellent – a point to the best results prepared. The service is fun and professional passionate. If you go for three courses and some good wine and two cocktails as a starter expect 100€ per person for a French night out
The menu is fresh bistro style. We went for the shrimp cocktail as flashback of the 70s, and a classic terrine – to be followed by an excellent filet mignon with cafe de Paris sauce and the Entrecôte a la cafe de Paris … reaching heaven easily

Little update from our last visit yesterday :
This is THE place to BE in the West.
The owner is so very welcoming and charming. The food was really delicious , the ratatouille is to be tried ! The crowd was great .
It felt so good to come back again.
Well , what a surprise !!!!The deco is nice and give the feeling that you are in a Parisian bistrot .The athmosphere is great( outside like inside ) , drinks as well. The food was unexpectedly great as well . We choose the almond salad to start together with the lobster , very good! Then the Zurich schnitzels and the cafe de paris beef , delicious. The portions are good . The service was a little slow but nothing exagerated , a bit French style . The desserts looked great but we will for sure try it next time . It’s a little gem in berlin that a Parisian like me is veryyy pleased to discover in berlin .

We have been to Tor Bar a few times. This place is a sad white facsimile. Food is under seasoned, service is poor unless you are a “regular” or someone who looks the part. The presentation of the food was like a kindergartener.
