Love how close it is to my house. The food is great. Just like home cooked. You can tell it’s cooked fresh. The owner is so nice. Cozy little spot to eat and have nice conversation. I will definitely be back.

Such A cute little spot down here in Downtown Lorain OH, I’m just visiting but so glad I found this small family owned restaurant, really nice and welcoming people, the food was really good! Aghhhh y’all will definitely have to try the Cheddar broccoli soup, it was outstanding, and it’s such a staple where I’m from! 10/10 place and experience, definitely will be coming back before I leave !! Highly recommended!

EDITED/UPDATED my original post was 1 star, they were closed unannounced. It was a time I kept seeing them on social media on how great the food is, so there was a day I was craving Latin food, went there and honestly yes I was big time upset, I’m a fat kid, come on lol but after a few days I got that craving again and wanted to go back and try again, DUDE……. Great things are worth the wait! My wife got the Cuba and I got the Chupacabra, listen, you may have to wait, because the food is made to order, you’re getting a legit home cooked meal from a corner hole in the wall, you’re gonna feel warm, full, happy, just from eating there, I will follow this little restaurant any where they go, El Pegao, my sincerest apologies for the first review, I have been proven way wrong and you have earned my business forever ❤️❤️❤️

A friend highly recommended we try it out, and we’re so glad we did! We both ordered the Cuban sandwich, macaroni salad, and rice and beans. Everything was absolutely delicious. We can’t wait to go back to try more sandwiches! Staff was extremely friendly and even offered us a discount due to being out of Spanish rice.

WoW! First heard about this place through “Unc” on TikTok, and he wasn’t wrong about this place. ✔️ Me, and the wife went there today, and IMMEDIATELY got hooked. Took our order home to eat. She got the ½ Chuppacabra, and I got the full Cuba, and we got a side of Spanish rice also. I didn’t realize how big the full Cuba was. Definitely lunch, and dinner. ✔️ The wife devoured hers, and wished she would of gotten a whole one, and have more for later. I couldn’t believe the portions. Not used to that around Lorain. Also got to see the star that started it all Ruby. ✔️ Definitely have lifelong customers with me, and the wife now. ✔️

The Spanish steak, rice & beans with potato salad dinner is THE BEST!!! Everything made from scratch. The fresh-made coffee was AWESOME. 100 out of 10! Great ambience, super clean and the owners are super friendly. I will definitely go back next week. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Wanted to try something new, this was an excellent choice!! Had Salchichon soup and Cuba sandwich, both were 5* choices. Ruby was very pleasant and helpful with the menu and recommendations. If you’re looking for somewhere new in Lorain you won’t go wrong in stopping in!!!!
