This was straight up disgusting and a waste of money. I believe in trying things out before judging especially a place like this. The food was tasteless, the rangoons were more crust than anything else, the sweet and sour source was more jello like and firm. I bought two meals and the rangoons and had to throw it all away because of how nasty it was.

This is a mediocre place. The food is not bad and the service was on par. The outside of the restaurant could easily turn people away, but once you get inside the issue resolves itself. I would come back here again, but I wouldn’t go out of my way. I would recommend this place to my coworkers. That is all.

Don’t let the exterior look of this little gem fool you… the food is great, nice and hot, the friendliest staff and an overall favorite of the locals has made this one of the places we will definitely come to often!

I ordered the General chicken with s/s chicken with steamed rice and cheese puffs. I got fried rice and all of the chicken pieces were burned and over cooked. The only thing good was the tea. Will never go back.

Don’t get the General Tso’s. I don’t even think it contained chicken. The pieces looked like just crunchy batter. Disgusting. The rice was room temperature also. Completely disappointed as I was craving Chinese food. The fortune cookie and bottled Coke was the best part of lunch. Maybe the other dishes are better…

I decided to give this place a try. This is a small restaurant with about 8-10 tables and a drive thru lane. It appears to have been in business for some time and the years show on the exterior. The staff is courteous and friendly and the order was ready on time. The atmosphere is quaint and likely a good place to go if trying to lay low. I decided to try some egg rolls, general tso’s chicken, sweet and sour pork, and the Mongolian beef. The eggrolls were general, run of the mill and likely purchased by the box and not made in house. The Mongolian beef was different from most all other versions I’ve had previously from other restaurants. It’s not uncommon and expected that all dishes with the same name vary from place to place. The beef was tender and sautéed in a brown sauce with some assorted vegetables including carrots, water chestnuts, cabbage, broccoli, and onions. This dish was ok but not what I expected as Mongolian beef. The sweet and sour pork came in larger pieces, twice the size of the average with a very firm batter. The meat was very tough and dry with a strong swine flavor. From my previous experience working in Chinese restaurants during my early years, the only time the meat takes on this texture and dryness is if it cooked too many times or too long. In any case, the chewy dry meat and hard, not crispy, batter made the experience unpleasant. The General Tso’s chicken was not any better. Usually, to keep the meat tender inside and have a nice crispy breading outside, the meat is cooked by removing it from the hot oil to allow it to cool briefly before continuing to fry. This version was hard with the same dryness of the sweet and sour pork but with the addition of copious amounts of sugar. The dish is normally sweet but this was extremely so. Overall, while the service was good, the food left me disappointed and wishing I had just stayed home.
