The soup was good, but the dutchess tea was just completely confusing. We reserved 2 trays for 4 adults and only got one tray with 2 of each item,, for 60.00 and then they split the bill for it 15.00 each.

But what we reserved was one for the two of them one for the two of us. The waitress just insisted it was right so we gave up.

So disappointing. This was supposed to be our cottage core 3 person birthday gathering.. oh well live a learn.

Edit, oh yeah no clotted cream, butter or jam and we had to hunt down someone for silverware.

100000/10 WOULD RECOMMEND! Had my baby shower here and it was so cute! The vibe was very boutique and was perfect for the occasion! The server was quick and amazing and was good with the timing on bringing things out. When I first got there, I had an episode of a low blood sugar (pregnancy issue) the server even gave cheese and crackers I believe from her own lunch to help me out. (Forever grateful for that!) the event coordinator was also great with communication.
This is the spot you definitely want to have your next event at!

I went to the team room for a special occasion. 🙂 this was my first experience at this establishment. I would love to say that it was wonderful from start to finish but I would be lying. The service was dismal at best and I could see that the server was struggling. This I probably could have overlooked somewhat. The atmosphere is lovely, although the Christmas day course should probably be put away. There is quite a selection of tea and how the t is presented is nice. The menu was just what you would expect. Chicken salad seem to be their specialty and my mother and daughter opted for the chicken salad croissant. I went with a quiche that sounded excellent on the menu but was lackluster on the plate. The best part of my meal was the salad with the raspberry vinaigrette. The scone served alongside your meal was very very dry. I’m sure there is a party limit long gratuity but there was literally eight of us and the gratuity on my bill I feel was more than I would have tipped on my own for the service received. Not impressed. Would I go there again, probably not and that is sad because they have a lot of potential

The tea room was an absolute delight. We picked the Duchess Tea which came with 2 pots of tea. Note this is not 2 pots per person, this was 2 pots for our table of 4 but came with refills of the teas we chose. There were so many delicious options it was hard to choose (both caffeinated and uncaffeinated)!

Parking is a little limited available. Definitely worth the try if you’ve never had afternoon tea!

This place was darling. What an experience. Every detail was quaint and nice. We were greeted and treated with care. We felt like we stepped into a haven of culinary delight with the tea room and lunch menu, where every dish is a masterpiece. You could also sit for afternoon tea. The lunch offerings start with a symphony of fresh, seasonal ingredients—crisp salads, delicate finger sandwiches, and savory quiches, all prepared with attention to flavor and presentation. We had the tortellini salad. The flavor was spot on and a testament to the chef’s dedication to quality and taste.

But it’s the dessert menu that truly steals the show. Indulge in an array of decadent treats that are as visually stunning as they are delicious. From petite four, bread pudding to perfectly flaky scones, every dessert is a perfect finale to a delightful meal. Each creation is crafted to satisfy even the most discerning sweet tooth, ensuring a memorable dining experience that will linger long after the last bite. I would recommend this experience to any tea enthusiast. Hats off to Sassafrass

We hosted a bridal shower here. What a great experience!! Kristi was wonderful to work with in terms of planning. Cheryl was so helpful and kind, and Susan took great care of us! Everyone raved about the food and the experience. The quiche, chicken salad, croissants, scones, and dessert variety plates were wonderful and served promptly. Everyone was delighted! Thank you!

I went here with a group of friends for lunch. None of us had been there before. It was really cute! There is seating both upstairs and downstairs. We were seated upstairs as there was a party going on downstairs, but we never would have known. It was quiet and private. The tea cups and saucers and tea pots were very beautiful and each was unique. The decor was very pretty and perfectly suited for a tea room. They have a nice hot tea selection. I had the raspberry truffle and it was very good. I also had the sassafras club panini and it was delicious-perfectly toasted bread and delicious meat and cheese inside. The raspberry vinegrette on the side salad was also tasty. The blueberry scone was ok. Not the best I’ve had, but not the worst, either. I ordered blackberry cobbler for dessert but it turns out they only had peach. They brought that up and said they hoped it was ok. I don’t really like peach cobbler and wished they would have asked before it was already plated because I didn’t want to be rude and ask for something else. But all in all it was a great experience and I would definitely go back. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive.
