This is pretty much my new favorite BBQ place in the area. I’ve ate here 3 times so far and it didn’t disappoint each time. The Chopped or Sliced Brisket Sandwich is loaded with meat and super tasty. The Pulled Pork Sandwich isn’t quite as loaded down with meat as the brisket, but it’s also delicious. Not too much sauce, so you can still taste the flavor of the smoked meat. They have homemade BBQ sauces. I’ve tried Original and Sweet & Spicy. The Sweet & Spicy is my favorite of the two. Their Chicken and Sausage Gumbo is full of flavor, and quite a large portion. I’ve also tried their normal Sausage and Boudin Sausage. I loved the normal sausage, but I probably won’t order the Boudin again. The flavor was good, but I didn’t like the texture of that style of Sausage. My only complaint, is they don’t offer the sandwiches without a side coming with it. Sometimes I’d just like to just munch down on 2 sandwiches, without having to pay for 2 sides with them. I can’t wait to come back and try some more items on the menu. I also wish they had a few more sides, or maybe run a different daily/weekly special side. (Smoked Mac-n-cheese, Brunswick Stew???) I highly recommend this place. Best BBQ around!!!

I love their fried catfish and shrimp basket. It’s My favorite. The hush puppies are also excellent. Love the fried okra too. The BBQ brisket is pretty good and the ribs are delicious! Haven’t had anything I didn’t like yet!

It’s always my delight when I get the chance to compliment a establishment especially a grassroots family run business. The people and the service was nothing short of top notch. The restaurant was exactly the environment I’d would expect to receive a great meal i passed it on my back from a job and turned around as I noticed it and let me say that was a great choice. Now let’s get to the food i had shrimp tacos one bite and it was clear someone put some love into them everything was fresh from the slaw and sauce to right of the boat shrimp cooked to perfection. The kinda meal I look for when I’m in the costal region. I also had a shrimp poboy took it to go as the tacos were more than filling. Also delicious. So if your reading this and trying to decide if it’s worth your time then the only answer is yes. Side note I did not have the crayfish how ever I hear they delivered live as needed and kept in a holding pond/tank till it’s time cook em up. Don’t get no fresher than that.

If you’re in search of delicious home-cooked meals, this is the place to visit! Unlike many franchise restaurants that rely on microwaving their dishes, this family-owned establishment prioritizes fresh cooking. The owners are not only friendly and funny, but they also know how to whip up fantastic meals! I’ve tried fish and shrimp tacos at nearly every Mexican restaurant from Jesup to Savannah, and I can confidently say the shrimp tacos here are the best I’ve ever had! Don’t miss out on this gem!

Discovering a gem after six years of living nearby, this restaurant exceeded our expectations! Savoring freshly cooked shrimp, fish, and okra with scrumptious Hush puppies was a delight. The chocolate chip brownie left us craving more. We’re eager to return soon and regret not trying it sooner. Even our picky eater devoured the crab legs! This charming eatery is a must-visit, setting a new standard for seafood restaurants in Long and Liberty counties.

Fried mushrooms are best around long co. Shrimp was jumbo size in boil and over cooked. Like eating dried silicone or window caulking. Sausage and potatoes hard to ruin so they were ok. Only person eating in restaurant at 430 pm. Entire staff greeted me 1 by 1 and asked if food was OK every 5 min. Tea was good.

I did mention the shrimp being over cooked to the waitress and lady at cash register. Both acted as if this is a normal complaint. I suggest a digital timer when boiling and dont make a common mistake of microwaving a plate boiled the previous day. When the shrimp start to curl into a letter “C” they are done. If you serve a $38 plate and the shrimp are a complete circle neck touching and over lapped the tail then it’s going to be over done. Practice a little with timer you will get it.

I want to start by saying this place is amazing. Crawfish is always perfectly cooked. Today I decided to get the fried Gator. For 14.50 I expect a little bit more food. Maybe it was a slow day for Gator. Hopefully it’s better next time!!

Trains and good food, new location with same great menu but more parking and a fresh new look inside. The staff was outstanding and the food was actually better than my last visit.

Food: I had fried shrimp with French fries and cold slaw. Shrimp were ok, not great. French fries were overcooked. Slaw was just weird. I tried but could not eat it.

Service: Very good even though there is 1 window to order so if they are busy it will take a while.

Atmosphere: I appreciate hole-in-the-wall local seafood restaurants. The dining area is a screened in patio/deck with a roof. I asked for the location of the restroom and learned that it was “around back.” It was functional but inadequate. Boxes of trash were stacked in one corner. There is no defined parking area. Basically you park on the grass somewhere between the railroad tracks and the junk yard next door and hope you don’t get stuck.

Bottom line: Would I eat there again. Answer is no. I appreciate hole-in-the-wall places but this was too rustic for me. There’s no excuse for not trying to have a decent restroom.
