We almost didn’t stop here! It was recommended by a family member, so my party of 8 decided to give it a try while we were staying nearby. From the front, it looks like a closed down convenience store. We finally noticed cars/trucks around back and that’s how we found the actual restaurant.
Our server was sweet and was always checking on us. Apparently that night was her last night as she was going to college.
I ordered the burger and fries. A nice sized portion that was good overall.
Nothing fancy about the dining area. Some local flair, but nothing major.
Just a simple place to go eat and get some good food at reasonable prices. That plus cleanliness means we recommend this place to all travelers!

So nasty my hamburger was burnt I took a picture of it I actually called and talked to a manager who was I can’t explain it I don’t even know if you knew the English language please don’t eat their when I went to talk to him about my hamburger with black again picture says a thousand words he got on the phone and he literally yelled at me yelled so I hung up I did call back and tell them the burger was burnt not only that but the bloomin Onion I got because the oil is so used and probably black that residue gets on the onion and even that wasn’t edible so no don’t tell me I laughed and said I hope you like your review but I live up here on Gantt lake I said please word of mouth means a lot

I’m giving 5 stars even though the service was slow. But, they had many more customers than usual and they called in extra help to give better service. The owner and waitress stopped by our table to explain their unusual situation and to express thanks for our patience. We appreciated that a lot!

It’s been about 5 years since I have been to Hilltop. I told myself I would never go back. I was told after they switched owners that Hilltop has improved alot. So we gave them another shot. And again, it was a horrible experience. Our waitress was great tho!
But the food? Over cooked, seemed like the crawfish had never been purged, tasted like ruined food. It was disgusting.
I’m not trying to be hateful or negative. And again, we will not ever be going back.
