We stopped in for lunch after visiting the arboretum and had such a lovely experience. We were seated right away, and by the time we settled in, the place had gotten much busier. They even had live music, which added a nice touch.
The food was genuinely delicious. Everything tasted so fresh – the lettuce and tomatoes, the flavorful (not dry!) meats, and that incredible focaccia on the Godmother sandwich. The potato wedges were such a treat: hot, thick, and perfectly seasoned. Even the BBQ sauce and ketchup tasted homemade. We were all happy with our meals, and we grabbed a slice of their cheesecake to go, which was so good.
Service was great, too. The two servers were working really hard, especially once the lunch rush hit. They had a lot of tables to cover and were communicating and kind. We loved our experience, will be back!

On our way to the Boyce Thompson Arboretum, we stopped in a little town called Superior, what a quaint place! Even though most of the stores were closed, we stumbled upon a charming café called Bella’s. What a gem!

The owners are from New York, and they moved to this small town because she loves to hike , and what a perfect spot for that! The Superstition Mountains are absolutely beautiful.

Now, back to the café , the food was amazing! I had a French dip and some meatballs (both delicious!), and my boyfriend had a turkey focaccia sandwich. Everything was so flavorful and fresh.

Their son, William, was working there , such a friendly guy! He’s also a singer in a band called Sleeper Signal (you can find them on Spotify , definitely worth checking out!).

After lunch, we walked around town and really enjoyed the laid-back vibe. It was such a pleasant day. If you’re ever nearby, stop in Superior and visit Bella’s, you won’t be disappointed! ❤️

If you want something different this could be your place. The staff is super friendly but not very efficient. We we went on a Wednesday a little after 1 pm. ( They close at 2). We were told there was a 10 minute wait. Even though there were empty tables although still dirty from the previous patrons. No problem. We were told at least 3 or 4 times they would have a table soon but none of the tables were being cleared. Finally after about 20-25 minutes someone started to clear a table. There was hope of getting a table soon! But that just aggravated the pain of waiting. The person cleaning the tables clearly was neither in a hurry or trained on how to be efficient. He did a good job but it literally took a good 5 or more minutes per table since he would do them one at a time even though tables were next to each other and dishes could have easily been cleared from multiple at one time. This is a bit silly anyway since the server should clear at least some of the plates when the bring the bill. Since we weren’t next in line that added another 10 plus minutes to the wait. Fortunately we had been looking at the menu while waiting so when we were seated, we ordered. I think they are just inadequately staffed since everyone working there seemed to be family. Our food seemingly took forever to arrive. We ordered the fish and chips which was very good. The chips were perfectly cooked, hot and tasty. We also ordered a Godfather sandwich. That was just ok, actually it was soggy. The focaccia bread was very soft and a bit crumbly but the soggy aspect was due to the mayonnaise and tomatoes. This is an Italian style sandwich which had mostly great ingredients and therefore didn’t need mayo at all! It was hard to hold it without all the meats and cheese sliding around while trying to keep the sandwich together. I finally decided to eat with a knife and fork otherwise I would have been wearing the sandwich. The portions were healthy but even though they say pricing is reasonable, it cost us over $48 for the two items, one Italian soda and a small side salad which was substituted for the lays potato chips that normally come with the sandwich. Overall we enjoyed eating here but they really do need to work on efficiency. We were there nearly two hours on a weekday. We will likely try them again but it’s not a rush to do so.

UPDATE: I guess a hit a nerve with the responder. That wasn’t my intent. I spoke highly of the fish and chips, uniqueness of the property and friendliness of the stuff. The other aspects were intended to give the establishment some constructive feedback on how they are seen by some customers and what they could do to improve satisfaction and ultimately repeat business and customers. Their response made it sound like I gave them one star (I gave them 4) and was totally unsatisfied. I’m sorry if it came out that way despite saying we enjoyed eating there. And no there were no exaggerations. From the moment we walked in the door until we walked out we spent almost 2 hours. Had we not had our order ready and given our card when he brought the bill I think reaching two hours was inevitable. The attack response to my constructive factual review is quite surprising and shows they really don’t care about my opinion or my business.

Bella’s was worth the drive (3 mi) after hiking in the B-T Arboretum.

Great food – more than I expected from a small town Cafe. Lots of quality options! I had the shrimp ravioli & partner had grilled eggplant sandwich – both were terrific!

Great service – thanks Will!

Goid looking deserts in the case but we were full – will leave room next tome.

We’ve been here several times, always fantastic friendly service with a cozy atmosphere. I love the elevated breakfast dishes and breakfast specials. This weekend was a motorcycle ride with the guys and several of us ordered the shrimp & grits with eggs, really nice! The pork belly and eggs was reported delicious, (I didn’t get to try) as was the Farmers omelet. I ordered a side of fruit and the bowl was generous enough that we all shared. Absolutely recommend!

Oh boy, oh boy — what a treasure! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Five-star reviews are reserved for the very best, and Bella’s Café absolutely earns it.
From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with smiling faces and seated in a cozy spot by the Christmas tree. A superb cup of hot coffee appeared almost instantly — no delay, no fuss, just genuine hospitality.
Then came the menu. At first glance, the selections might look familiar, but don’t let that fool you. The quality, the presentation, and especially the FLAVOR are on a whole different level. Nothing “common” about any of it.
From the house-made prickly pear BBQ sauce, to the hollandaise on the burger,(said my wife) to the perfectly seasoned potatoes — every single bite was magnificent. I ordered the Pork Belly BLT… let that sink in for a minute. Absolutely scrumptious.
The desserts looked fresh and amazing as well, but the portions were so generous we couldn’t fit another bite.
William, thank you for your hospitality and great company. May your family’s tradition continue bringing exceptional service and comfort to your community. What truly makes me want to promote your business is the heart behind it — the way you and your family give back to those in need. That kind of care matters.
Bella’s Café is a gem. Don’t miss it.

I am so happy I stopped at Bella’s Cafe for lunch today! I was looking for lunch in Superior after finishing up a hike nearby, and it was phenomenal! I had a breaded buffalo chicken sandwich on focaccia bread, with onion rings. It was soooooo good! I will be fantasizing about that sandwich!

Service was amazing too. Highly recommend! I will absolutely stop here again next time I’m in town!
