Stopped by on a rainy day. Mainly here to express that the faux takoyaki balls were very difficult to eat. Cooked until hard and black. The inside was ok, but on top of being seemingly burnt, the sauce on top was an assault. Extremely bitter and sour, with an almost grainy texture. Not what I associate with takoyaki at all. I wasn’t able to finish the food and ended up tossing a little less than half of it. Haven’t tried anything else on the menu, though. Aside from the food, the person running the truck was doin their job, and I always love a strawberry ramune.

I got the kabocha squash with soba noodles and it is just so bad. Weird texture and bland. The rice balls were pretty good though, and the musubi looked tasty. I just feel disappointed because food is so expensive nowadays and this was supposed to be a special treat for myself on a bad day.

I’ve enjoyed my orders at the food truck. It’s very easy to place my order online and run over to grab it. There are few places I can grab a quick, healthy vegan lunch while driving between job sites. I’ve had most things on the menu and regularly get the tofu katsu, the bbq rice special they had and onigiri. The rice dish portions are sizable and make for good left overs. The spicy fries are full of flavor, but Spicy! Have water if you eat them while driving.

I got the black sesame rice bowl and my husband got the spicy soba noodle bowl and we are beyond impressed. Very friendly cook and accommodating to request for modifying a meal if needed. We will be returning. !

We were really excited for new vegan food- but I wish we’d gone to our regular spot. The noodles and rice were overcooked, the tempura sauce was flavorless, the spicy soba noodle sauce was bitter. I really hope they work on their flavors, because this was incredibly disappointing especially at this price point. It honestly all tasted like someone’s first time cooking.

I had the tofu katsu bowl, and it was delicious! When I first smelled it I was a little startled at the smell of cloves, but once I was eating the sauce intermingled with the rice and the tofu, it was totally delicious! Top marks on the crunch of the tofu cutlet as well!
My partner gad the takyokai balls and reported that they were all fantastic.

We ordered the Black Sesame Fried Rice and the Spicy Sesame Soba. The rice was ultimately edible, however, it was not fried. The rice was clumpy and unseasoned. It appeared to be cooked white rice mixed with the vegetables, which I can’t understand. Fried rice is not a difficult dish to make, and yet somehow this was lazy and I can’t imagine anyone with a background or experience cooking Asian food would ever make this.
The Spicy Sesame Soba was inedible and falsely advertised. Grilled vegetables it was supposed to come with: mushrooms, onions, carrots, green onions. What it came with: an entire bed of raw cabbage, one piece of raw sliced onion, a few slices of raw carrot. The noodles were clumped together in a giant lump of sesame paste. The flavor was strange and bitter, it truly didn’t taste like food. Unfortunate and disappointing.

We ordered the sweet and salty soba and it was TERRIBLE, soba was all sticky together, sauce taste so weird. We just tried it and through it into the trash. Adding that the attitude of the guy serving was zero friendly, he look like if he was mad because we ordered.

Food was great. Loved all the vegan options available. The person working at the food truck was also very nice and didn’t mind us taking our time to pick what we wanted since it was our first time there. Will definitely be eating here often 🙂
