I had never tried a Mexican-style buffet before, so I didn’t know what to expect — but I absolutely loved it! The variety of food was amazing, with so many delicious options to choose from. It’s all-you-can-eat, so you can go back as many times as you want and try a little bit of everything.
The self-serve chips and salsa were such a fun touch ️, and the toppings and salsa bar quickly became my favorite part! There were so many fresh choices to customize every plate exactly how I wanted. Plus, your drink is included, which is a huge bonus ✨ My soda was never empty because the service was attentive and friendly the whole time.
I paid $16.25 and felt like it was totally worth it Great price for the quality and amount of food you get! They also offer happy hour and serve alcohol , which makes it even better. And if buffets aren’t your thing, you can always order from their regular menu. I’ll definitely be coming back and highly recommend giving this place a try!

I don’t like to wait, so the buffet option was great for me, whether I eat much or not. I like having options and their buffet has a variety of yummy food to choose from.
The service was good but I’m one of those people that understands that when it’s busy you got to be patient, but everyone was working hard to meet everyone’s needs. Overall it is a wonderful place to enjoy a great meal.

THIS PLACE WAS AN AMAZING GEM!
Check the history. I’ve been around a few places over the years. And I’ve searched MANY states for Mexican food. Always hunting for a Mexican buffet! For years! Then I find Don José. I found absolutely awesome food in buffet dining format! The food was wonderful. The chile verde, barbacoa, birra tacos, flautas, pozole & guacamole were delicious. Especially the POZOLE & GUAC!!! The enchiladas & chimis were so tasty as well. And don’t miss the fresh toppings & a couple of nice salsas too!
It was so good, we skipped an evening meal at the fair to come back! Nothing against fair foods, I love deep fried anything & funnel cakes, but I loved this place more! And we fed 3 for under $60, including drinks.
MY ONLY COMPLAINT IS THAT THIS BOMBA$$ PLACE IS 3HRS AWAY!!!
If it was 1hr or less, I’d be eating here 4-6 times a year, for sure! So please give them a try! If you’re ever near Sedalia MO & it’s close to dinner time, Don Jose Mexican buffet should be a no-brainer. Go, eat lots & YOU’RE SO VERY WELCOME!

In Sedalia for a business trip. Drove past this Mexican restaurant buffet and had never eaten at one – or even seen a Mexican buffet for that matter.
Nice, tidy restaurant with very friendly staff. Buffet had lots of offerings. A separate area for toppings, nachos, desserts and cream were also available. Food was flavorfull. Lots of options and very sweet waitress. $17.00 with drink included and satisfied with price point and how much food was available.
Highly recommend this fine place.

Never experienced a Mexican style buffet before. But I loved it!! Lots of food to choose from. All you can eat buffet. Self-serve chips and salsa. The toppings and salsa bar were my favorite. Your drink is included!! I paid 16.25 and was very happy with the price I paid. Service was good, and my soda was never empty. They also have a happy hour and serve alcohol. If the buffet isn’t your thing, they also have a menu to order from. I’ll be coming back and highly recommend for you to check this place out.

Lots of different options to choose from. You can make your own protein bowl or tacos. They even have dessert. Full menu is available if you don’t want to order buffet. Parking lot is pretty small but they have tons of space inside. Service was awesome! Everyone was very friendly. Great prices! Will definitely come back again!

My coworker and I were in Sedalia from Kansas on a work assignment. The food was good, lots of buffet choices and yummy desserts. Bridget was an AWESOME hostess/server. She really takes pride in what she does. We had a great experience there!

Wow…. This place is for real! I had heard about Don Jose from a friend and it sounded interesting. We made the 2 hour round trip trek and I will definitely be going back again! There’s about anything you can imagine on the buffet, and you can build things the way you want to. The building itself is a quaint little place, nothing fancy. It was clean from what I saw and I had no worries about eating there. The service was really good, the waitress nice and efficient, and an overall good experience. I’ll definitely be making the trip again soon!
