To be honest with the name of the restaurant I was expecting more seafood dishes. I know you have to cater to different tastes but I don’t go to a BBQ place and look for seafood.
The banging shrimp appetizer along with the she-crab soup were ok but really lacked the robust flavors you would expect. As far as the $20 Waterside breeze… don’t waste your money. The crabcake sandwich was for lack of better description horrible.
I can say with certainty that my wife and I will not go out of our way to eat here again.

The appetizer Crispy Calamari was more CRISPY than calamari, but made great croutons for a delicious side House Salad! My Flounder Sandwich was tasty & a good portion & the Turkey Club was very plentiful too (slightly over-toasted the “wheat” bread – gums got a bruisin’…LOL!). And I will return to try other offerings in the future!

Last week during my 6 night stay I came here a couple times and I will say I never had a bad meal.
But I will review one of my visits.
I came here on a busy night and sat at the bar. Still had a great view of the water! My bartender was Felix. He was very friendly, knew a lot about the menu, and making drinks. Never had a problem chatting and always gave fantastic service even when it was very busy. Seriously one of the best bartenders I’ve ever had. Hands down!!!
Onto the meal. For starters I decided to order the Fried calamari. Wow this was good, full of flavor, and it was a huge portion. It was sprinkled with cheese and came with a nice dipping sauce!
For my entree I ordered the grilled chicken quesadilla. It was served with salsa and sour cream. Let me tell you, this was very good. Cooked perfectly inside/outside and full of flavor. From The two types of melted cheeses to the roasted red peppers and onions. So good, I should have added the guacamole. With the huge portion of calamari I couldn’t finish my entree but I def saved it for later.
Next time I’m in the area I will def be coming here again. A+ service and A+ food!

My waiter Jack was phenomenal! I came on my birthday for a drink and ended up eating the best waterside pasta, cheesecake and waterside refresher drinks! The service was top notch, nothing less than white glove service from Jack!

We ordered room service from here. We ordered calamari, shrimp and a crab cake. The food was delicious, it just wasn’t hot which made the calamari batter tough. The person that took my order was super sweet and patient. I think if I visit again I will dine in the restaurant and see if there’s a difference.

Food was good. Despite a very limited menu for this day, probably due to the quantity of guests expected due to a conference, there was entirely too long of a wait to get the food. The food was all able to be pre-prepared for ease of meeting demands. The waitress apologized profusely about the delays. It wasn’t her fault. It seemed to be a management issue that was the problem. So many of the other patrons had the same problem!

Sat at the bar. Great view if river. Immediately greeted by Ruby. She is great. Took my drink order. Gave me a minute and took my food order. Had to try the She Crab soup cause the very good reviews. Also ordered the wings with the Jerk seasoning. Wow, soup was delicious. I add hot sauce to everything. A couple drops in this and …..outstanding. Plenty if large chunks of meat. Some of the best soup I’ve ever tasted.
Now for the wings. I consider myself a wing connoisseur. I eat a lot at different places across the US. I typically don’t expect hotel lounges to have great wings but have had some pretty decent. These were on the smaller side. Although have to pretty tasty. Tender meat, crunchy breading. Not spicy at all though. But overall not bad.

Bryan helped make our stay at the Sheraton a wonderful experience and dining in the hotel made it very convenient after a long drive. We would recommend the Sheraton to all cruisers going to Norfolk as its location is perfect.

Ordered the “Crab Poutine.” First there was no crab to be found, just old bay seasoning. Next, it was supposedly topped with cheese curds like all poutine is. It was topped with fried macaroni and cheese.
Lastly, the bartender was under the weather clearly. Looked tired, continued to sniff with his nose and even had snot dripping off the end. Maybe just allergies, but gross.
