The Lemon Iced Tea used Jasmine based tea which I didn’t quite like. It was not stated on the menu as I would not have ordered that.
Ordering is by scanning the menu which can be switched between Chinese or English. In English mode, choice of Less Salt, Less Oil, Less Spicy was still in Chinese. Staff helped to translate for me.
Pork Belly skewer was a bit too thin. I preferred the Lamb ones which was listed as ‘Beef’.
Eggplant and Braised Pork with Preserved Vegetable were good. I got more hungry as I ate them.
Sichuan style Chive n Pork Dumplings were juicy.
Will come back again.
Now, about the food—amazing! If you’ve never had authentic Chinese food, this is the place to try. My favorite dish was the fried tripe, and a close second was the sauerkraut fish—both bursting with flavor. Whether you’re feeling adventurous or just want a great meal, this spot is a must-try!
We started the meal with my daughter’s favorite – West Lake Beef Soup. If you like salted egg, then the Crispy Japanese Tofu with Salted Egg Yolk is a must-try. We’re also fans of spicy dry pots since they combine multiple items into one dish, so we tried the Fatty Beef version which included thinly sliced beef brisket, onion, potato, and lotus root, wok-fried in a Szechuan dry rub seasoning. For a more balanced meal, we added a veggie dish which was their seasonal and one of my faves – Ong Choy. We closed out our dinner meal with the Ice Jelly with Brown Sugar. Every dish was so flavorful and unforgettable…I can’t wait for my next visit!

Food: The variety of dishes was impressive and authentic. We tried the Chengdu Dan Dan Noodles, stir-fried vegetables, garlic cucumber, fatty beef soup, and Japanese tofu egg. The stir-fried vegetables were perfectly seasoned, and the garlic cucumber added a refreshing crunch.
We ate the Japanese tofu egg with rice and stir-fried vegetables and it’s the bomb.
The service was attentive. Highly recommend for anyone craving authentic Sichuan flavors!
Dandan noodles: it was good, but these didn’t come dry, which is what I would have expected. Not gatekeeping dandan noodles though- there’s no wrong way as long as the noodles are chewy and it has a lot of flavor. I just wish it were a little spicier. 4/5
Eggplant: not much flavor and slightly overcooked. I would have preferred it more savory and more spicy. 3/5
Wood ear mushrooms: simple and perfect balance of subtle flavors. It didn’t wow me but at the same time, there is nothing I would have changed about it. well executed. 5/5.
Scallion fish: absolutely loaded with flavor yet well balanced. a true testament to this dish. Well done. 5/5.
