Best hot dog I’ve had! They couldn’t get me to stop ordering the Reubensky one after another, I think I started to annoy them 🙂

Amazing food, people are very nice, and I’ll be coming anytime I visit Escalante or Bryce.

Diner recommend the chili dog and coleslaw as a topping or side has a nice kick. Mac and cheese dog was perfect for the 1.5 year old and bison was good too. If you get one of the wild game I recommend getting a side of blue cabbage to garnish. Good touch.

Breakfast recommend the biscuits and gravy was great and their apple pie is cast iron goodness.

We enjoyed lunch here on our way back to camp from visiting Devils Garden. The food was delicious and filling. The ladies working very very friendly and helpful. They have the old house fixed up very nicely inside and out including plenty of outdoor seating options. Both the polish sausage dog and regular hot dog with mustard were delicious, as was the chili. So great place to stop and have lunch if in town or even passing through.

My husband and I love loaded hotdogs, so we were delighted to find this spot in Escalante.

They have plenty of outdoor seating which we appreciated. We tried:

– Mac ‘N’ Cheese Dog
– Chicken in the Orchard
– Reubensky
– Blue Dog
– Strawberry Ice Cream and Lemonade Float

I enjoyed them all. The Chicken in the Orchard was my favorite followed by the Blue Dog.

There were many other menu items I wanted to try so I would happily come back next time I’m in the area.

Definitely a place you have to try! I was a bit hesitant about this place because I thought there’s not much you can do to make a hot dog better. I was completely wrong. These hot dogs are so delicious and filling. They do an amazing job of combining flavors and making it more than just a hot dog. If I was a local I’d definitely come by often. The staff is friendly and the environment is great. The dog is so friendly my one year old loved petting her.

This small stop has very tasty food and friendly staff. Expect a variety of different types and amalgams of sausages and hot dogs, salads, etc.

We had the Polish sausage, Reubenski, and a cinnamon roll. It was all very tasty and unique.

The staff (possibly the owners) were friendly and attentive to our needs. We sat outside, though indoor seating was also available. Overall, this was an unexpected and pleasant spot to stop for lunch.

Great cozy quality place! A successful friendly eatery well run by a hard working couple. Good food in a cool historic Mormoneer home in a beautiful frontier wilderness town. Surrounding this remote outpost is one of those last remaining big ‘blank spots’ in the West, a Federal Public Lands treasure beyond comparison!

Life is short, get out and explore! Made 2 great discoveries last week – Escalante, which is beauty at every turn, a hikers paradise. After a long day on the trails you need to refuel. Found the ranch dog, one of the best dog places in the universe. All food hand made and delicious! Bread pudding with Chocolate! Superior fuel for a middle age mountain goat. Wait, GOAT quality food. Don’t miss it if you are ever traveling up the 12!

We had a wonderful visit to Ranch Dog Kitchen! The service was friendly and helpful, and the owner was kind enough to share information about the area with us. The food was delicious! We had a regular hot dog as well as the bison sausage and chili. We couldn’t help but order one of the homemade desserts too! Portions were ample and the outdoor seating area was nicely served up to block the wind. We will definitely come back next time we are in the area!

Do not miss this gem in this quaint little town. Charming and lovely are the words that come to mind when I think of this little place and their staff and food. We had the a chicken in the orchard (you had me at Brie, apples and mixed greens) and the Big Cheese which is raclette, a traditional Swiss meal. If you have time, do not miss the chance to experience this dish here in Utah.
