Raspberry lemon drop on happy hour for $10 is good. Chop chop salad is small and disappointing. Meatball slider was fine but maybe I would just order the meatballs appetizer instead next time since it’s only one meatball on the slider for $6 and the appetizer gives you 3 meatballs for $12.
Our food was incredible. The taste, texture, and aroma all felt like bringing a slice of Italy home without needing to spend anything on airfare!
The service staff were kind, knowledgeable, and incredibly responsive to our requests and questions.
The restaurant itself has thoughtful touches throughout to both emphasize the history of Pismo Beach and the inspiration for the food. Musical selections were perfect for those natural lulls in conversation without ever being too commanding of the room.
If you are able to make the trip to Pismo Beach, this is a must try restaurant!
I was just expecting the same service from Giuseppe’s to go for ordering food. We came in and the deli area on the side was still there to order the same food as before, but it was not as well attended as it was in the old place or the table service area.
One lady standing around had been waiting for a pizza for 40 mins, they offered her a free drink and gelato. We waited about 35mins for a pizza and pasta. The person taking out the food walked past us twice and when I went to go ask about our food he said he had been looking for us. There is only like four tables for the deli area, pizza was cold by the time we got it.
Food was still great, but if you’re not going to drink the same magic from Giuseppe’s to go is gone, now you have people from the more upscale table service area eyeing you and its honestly a bit uncomfortable how it’s been segregated. Half the place is basically a second restaurant now, right next to the main one. ♂️
