The delivery service is excellent, the appetizers are more than delicious,
and the quality is always outstanding every single time. highly recommended.
They have you call once you arrive since they bring the pizza out to your car. You can use your credit card to pay on their portable device (I think its a Toast apparatus). Finding the restaurant from I-88, and parking was easy (just look for McDonald’s, and you are close by).
The crust was crispy and absolutely perfect, like a cracker. This pizza can definitely hold a candle next to all of the Chicago Tavern Pizzas.
I was very happy with the pizza, and I will definitely be ordering a pizza for carry-out again since I drive on I-88 a lot via Rochelle. This is a perfect stop for pizza.
The girl working tonight was unhelpful and mildly rude in a clearly passive-aggressive way. I did not appreciate it and as this was my first time coming here, I probably won’t be back.
In case the owner would like to know exactly what she did to inherit this kind review, it would start with when I asked whether the restaurant had Coke or Pepsi products. This is usually a normal question at any other restaurant, but I was made to feel stupid about the question and instead of being given an answer, I was met with a grandstand and told to tell which soda out of the several available I might want instead of just receiving a clear answer to my question. It’s almost as if the soda in the store was being kept a secret.
Then, when I called to check in on the order after waiting the 25 minutes I was told to wait, instead of being simply told “no, your order is not ready at this time” I was met with a clearly annoyed “we’ll bring it out to you when it’s done!” that felt slightly forced and confusing.
Overall, this whole interaction was entirely uncomfortable and inappropriate, which I might understand if I was being a difficult customer, but I literally asked for a pizza. And I dared to ask how much it would be before I ordered because life is hard right now and I can’t afford a $50 Pizza.
Turns out I got a $20 pizza with attitude I didn’t order.
But I bet this will get swept under the rug.
