This nostalgic dinner is a gem for casual dining. We stopped in after a basketball game so had an early dinner which made it more quiet than usual. The menu offered gluten free options and a descent variety of casual food. The service was excellent! Definitely recommend.

Incredible experience trying bao buns for the first time! They were so juicy and had the perfect amount of crunch. The portion sizes are great— we left feeling stuffed and satisfied. There’s something for everyone on their menu!

Atmosphere and service 5/5, food itself, not good! The entree we got was $13 for 3 very over salted piles of yuck! My breakfast tacos, extremely disappointing with fake eggs, bland meat and tiny size! My husband sandwich was very small and no flavor. I will say the plates were gorgeous, just need to step up the flavor and size! We did leave an 18% tip for the great service and nice atmosphere. Would have been much higher if the food was up to par.

The food took 45 minutes and came out cold, worst sourdough I’ve tried in my life. Small portion sizes. Ran out of cinnamon rolls after we ordered. I do not recommend

Absolutely loved this place! I had the tomato bisque, a hot chocolate with Baileys Irish cream and the hot beef plate. My mom had the salmon tartar, a salad and the morning margarita. We both felt the food was flavor intensive. My hot beef plate was more than I could handle, but looking forward to reheating. I also ordered the banana pie special to go. We had excellent service and enjoyed Madison and McKenna who made an impromptu visit to our table. The decor was fun, and a total throwback. Curious to know who upholstered the beautiful bench seats! The only slight change I would have preferred was slightly different music. Some of it was fun, new and funky. Kind of like you don’t have to hear the words…so definitely not a deal breaker. Maybe a little loud, but also kind of lent to feeling a little more private? Not sure, but overall, a great experience!

Very promising casual dining experience in Cedar Falls, Ia. Decor is hip diner…cool place. Menu is interesting with multiple unique options.
First the super positive- the Umami Brussels sprouts were possibly the best I have ever had…just delicious!
My wife also thoroughly enjoyed the Cubano sandwich. It offered a good balance of flavors. The thin fries are also tasty if a little salty.
I had the Korean sandwich. This also looked promising. However, the chicken breast was rather dry. Enough so that I chose not to finish eating the sandwich. So, the food prep had some maturing that is needed. Again, very promising but inconsistent.
We found the service to be above average with pleasant and reasonably attentive staff.
We will return and give it another go in a few months.

We had such a great experience at Pattons Diner! We started with the Brussels and Crab Cakes for appetizers, and they were absolutely delicious and light, so we didn’t get too full before our entrees came out. For the main course, we ordered the Salmon Risotto and The General Patton Chicken, and both were a solid 10/10. The service was awesome and the atmosphere was great! Highly recommended!
We also started the night with their espresso martinis— SO good!

I highly recommend this place! The interior is so gorgeous, and the service is great! Lex was amazing. We got the potstickers as an appetizer and they were incredible. I also got a pink lemonade, which was fresh and so yummy. Then I got the smash burger with cottage cheese and it did not disappoint! Will definitely be coming back.

HIGHLY recommend!!! We are very familiar with Cedar Falls and frequent the town and this area often. This is a newer establishment but it seems like you are walking back in time when you enter. It literally feels like this has been there since the ’60s. The space has been completely renovated to look like a diner of the past. I absolutely love it so much that I went back two weeks later. It is owned by the same people who own George, which actually made me a bit nervous because I thought their food at George was bland. Loved the vibe (at George) and the menu but the food just didn’t have a lot of flavor. But I was pleasantly surprised at Patton. I would say it is diner food but elevated. This restaurant can accommodate large groups, individuals, and smaller groups. You can even sit at the counter. I can’t tell if things were refurbished or if everything is brand new because it looks so authentic. Even the tile on the floor looks original. I absolutely love it!

Stopped in after a day riding on Ragbrai…staff was quick, efficient, and very nice! The food was AMAZING! I was born and raised in Miami and can honestly say that their Cubano was better that 90% of the sandwiches you can get in Florida! Definitely recommend!
The atmosphere was perfectly retro and they had a lot of great pieces on the wall to check out some racing history
