This place is known for its sourdough pizza and a delicious seed oil–free menu, and it truly delivers. Real food, real ingredients, made with heart. The sourdough pizzas are light, crispy, and gut-friendly—honestly the kind of pizza you feel good eating and don’t regret afterward.
We ordered the meatballs with house-made beef and pork in a family-recipe tomato sauce, finished with whipped ricotta, which is an absolute must. The Italian chopped salad for two was loaded, fresh, and perfectly balanced. For pizza, we tried the round broccoli rabe and sausage, which was flavorful and well balanced, and the Detroit-style hot honey, pepperoni, and ricotta, which was crispy, indulgent, and outstanding. We finished with the warm, gooey, house-made chocolate chip cookie, which was perfection.
Everything from the ingredients to the execution feels thoughtful and intentional. A must-visit spot for anyone who loves high-quality pizza done right.

This place is amazing and for good reason! Thank god I made the drive because this may have been the best Detroit style pizza I’ve ever had, and normally I’m not a fan! Only a few places in NJ do this good and this is one of them! Their hot honey pizza with pepperoni and ricotta is their best seller and it’s a game changer! Highly recommend coming here!

Heard some grumblings about this place and had to visit for myself. Pizza was out of this world. The crust was absolutely amazing, tremendous flavor in both of the pies we got…. Supplemented the pizza with an order of their meatballs, you can taste exactly how fresh the ricotta is. Cacio e pepe was amazing, never had pizza like that. Hot honey pepperoni was a very close second. Going back to try the other options. Recommended!!!

Finally, after being acknowledged, I received my order and the rest was history. I ordered a sausage, red onion, and chili oil slice, and it did not disappoint. Crispy, juicy, and flavorful would be the best description. I also ordered a round vodka pie, and it was delicious.
Although I didn’t have a good service experience, the pizza was good and I would definitely return, hopefully having a better experience next time.

The best sourdough pizza in NJ by a landslide.
The staff is insanely sweet and the relatively small menu is honestly just so nice. That’s how you know. They use good quality fresh ingredients and everything is actually made with love and care. They have sourdough everything there and you can taste it in the pizza crust. it was a life-changing slice for me that grandma pie. It’s honestly the best spot to sit down, but you could take it to go to and please please please if you go there get a chocolate chip cookie it’s one of the best I’ve ever had.

EDIT: Bumping the review to 3 stars. The owners did reach out after seeing my review and provided a full refund. It is nice to see a business stand behind their product and take ownership when a mistake happens. I will definitely give this place another shot and will update my review when it happens.
Saw this place on Instagram. The food looked great. Decided it’s worth the drive to give it a shot. Ordered a Pepperoni Detroit online. Got a text notifying me that the pizza is ready which was on time. Arrived and pick up was easy and fast. Opened the box and the pizza looked amazing.
Drove home as fast as I could. Took out the first slice and saw the bottom was well done. I understand these type of pizzas are parbake so you can definitely get a bottom with a dark color sometimes. This too me was burnt and inedible. I cut off the bottoms as much as I could. What I ate was really good! Nice pepperoni. I like the sauce. It’s a bummer that I couldn’t eat it with a bottom.
I do think if it comes out this dark and you should remake it. I am thinking the pan used to cook my pizza was not properly cleaned and the residue from the other pizza was what got burnt because the rest of the pizza was cooked well. The edges were crispy and delicious. Overall it is a bummer, but these things can happen.

This spot definitely stands out for using sourdough as their pizza crust, which gives it a unique twist. As a sourdough fan, I really enjoyed the flavor and texture. It’s different in a good way and worth trying if you like something outside the usual pizza crust. The sauce, however, was just okay. Not bad, but nothing memorable. The garlic knots were pretty average and didn’t really add much to the experience. One downside was that they only take online orders, no phone orders, which can be inconvenient. They also sold out of their grandma pies pretty quickly, which was disappointing. Overall, a solid spot with a unique crust, but a few things held it back from being great.

Ordered a Detroit style. Having eaten at Buddy’s, Michigan and Trumbull and many of the best Detroit style pizza restaurants in Detroit, Bucky’s could fit right in. Soft airy dough, perfectly cooked pepperoni and a pizza sauce with the ability to not overpower and let every fresh ingredient speak for itself. One of my biggest pet peeves with this style pizza is a greasy finish that wasn’t present in Bucky’s. My craving has been satisfied. For now. I’ll be back!
