Is not Doña Tere Tamales anymore, is a new restaurant, but the food is delicious and the service is fast and good customer service. Good music, good air-conditioned and clean. Congratulations to the new owners and wish you the best.

Food wasn’t so good. Tamales were dry and not tasty. Food was also pricey. The champurrado was the only thing I liked and the strawberry tamales.

Just a little on the expensive side but the tamales are quite large and tasty. Friendly service also came into play, which is rare and always welcomed in these modern times. Overall, I enjoyed the experience.

So far, the best tamales I had tasted in Houston! Very close to the Mexican traditional tamales. They were big, with a lot of meat served with hot salsas. The staff was very nice, and the restaurant and bathroom were very clean. We ordered tamales at the last minute for the New Year celebration and they help us complete our order with what they had. It turns out well we taste the chicken, pork, and sweet tamales.

This tamalé restaurant didn’t have a breakfast tamalé plate ♀️. Just a tamalé lunch plate. I’d never had their tamales, so I didn’t want a whole plate of tamales in case I didn’t like them. I had to order one a la carte along with my huevos rancheros. They were nothing to write home about. No flavor and just thrown together. The meat wasn’t chopped finely or seasoned well. The tamales couldn’t be picked up and eaten. It was too big and had to be eaten with a fork. Added salt but it needed a lot more to taste good.

First time ordering here and my whole order was wrong and also the food wasn’t work the price. I ordered tamales, which weren’t even the correct ones. As well as a quesadilla with barely any fajita, and a drink that wasn’t even correct, I said Limonada and they gave me Jamaica. The food in itself was mushy and soggy, the quesadilla didn’t have any meat on it and the only pieces that it did have were chunks of the fat that weren’t eatable. Very dissastified with the food in all.

I had a great experience visiting this restaurant. The food is authentic and it made me feel like I was back home in Mexico. Customer service is outstanding and the owners are lovely people. I highly recommend both the dining experience or for take out. I will be coming back with my family when I’m back in this area. Highly recommended!
