I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience with Imperial Garden was unacceptable. From the start, the person who answered the phone didn’t even identify the restaurant—just picked up and said, “What do you want?” It was unclear if I had even called the right place. When I tried to clarify, I was hung up on mid-conversation.
Customer service should never feel like an inconvenience, yet the attitude here made it clear that courtesy isn’t a priority. Even if the food were exceptional (which it isn’t—it’s average at best), the complete disregard for respect and professionalism overshadows everything else.

I didn’t even get to order over the phone.
The woman picked up with a “hello” so I asked if it was a business… she said, yes.
So, I started my order… beef and broccoli combo but no broccoli please. She replies by spelling it out first… “N-O… no.” Me thinking she was just repeating what I was saying -no broccoli- I said “right, no broccoli” she then gets louder and spells it out again… “N-O, NO!” Then it clicked that she was telling me no, I couldnt order it that way. My husband heard her while standing next to me… told me to hang up the phone. I was in shock, told her “okay, thanks anyw…” then CLICK, she hung up on me!!!
Absolutely RUDE! If you enjoy being spoken to like that, this is your place… if not, don’t waste your time even calling!

Love their shrimp and broccoli and spare ribs the best, but all the food is always really great. My order has always been right. The owners and or employees work very hard and may not always have time for small talk, but I don’t take that personal. Everyone is always polite and respectful. I’ve been going there for 10 years at least. Have had delivery and pickup many times.

The food is not that bad but the service is horrible. The person who answers the phone and who is at the front counter is rude. This restaurant is convenient and I would continue to patronize because of it. But I don’t think I should be paying money to someone who treats me badly. I will drive to pick up food from somewhere else who treats me as though they are happy to have my business.
