I will say, I had trouble finding them the first time because of the posters over the windows. From the inside the windows look clear, but from the outside I wasn’t sure where the door was at first glance…
Very friendly staff as well.
We made reservations for 5:30 and had the place to ourselves for almost our entire meal. My daughter said the pork chops were amazing!
The atmosphere has not changed. The food is very tasty and good. In this visit, there were more people eating in than at any of our previous visits, so that was all to the good.
We ordered the sample appetizer plate and the Lamb Kafta with an extra skewer so we can try both the regular and spicy versions of the dish. The appetizer plate featured the mediterenean standards of Falafel, Baba Ganoush, Tabbouleh, Hummus, and pita, but also an american-style salad and a lebanese version of the Greek tzatziki. The American salad was the weakest part of this, although the addition of Sumac on the lettuce was a very nice touch.
Lebanese food is not very spicy, so the “spicy” lamb kafta skewer was not spicy. We paired that with their spicy sauce which was a very flavorful tomato and pepper sauce served on rice. Excellent flavors, but if you are looking for heat levels like in Mexican or Thai cuisines, you will be disappointed.
We were so stuffed at the end of this meal that we took generous portions home of various things and passed on dessert, event though the owner / server urged us to try her home made goodies. Maybe on another visit?
