We hired D’Cora to do our wedding cake and she did a perfect job! It was absolutely delicious, genuinely the best chocolate cake any of us had ever eaten! Her communication was great. We will definitely be back in the future!

So far, I have tasted and enjoyed the club sandwich, several cookie flavors, and the chicken salad. Each item/visit was great. On some occasions I get a chance to chat with the owner. Her sandwiches are always fresh and made to order. Her sides with sandwiches — fruit, chips/dip are also good.

Please listen!!! Do not waste A dime on the tea cakes, taste like flour. $6 for 4 flour cakes? The lady at the counter didn’t care that they weren’t eatable! Trying to support black owned business, the thanks I got!Oreo cake taste like It had been in the refrigerator uncovered. It made the icing taste like everything in the refrigerator. If I could give A zero star I would!

I’m incredibly disappointed and aggravated with my most recent experience. My family and I are pretty regular customers and despite having encountered minor issues in previous visits, I still patronized the establishment because we do enjoy some of her items and value supporting small black business.

During my recent visit the owner came around from the kitchen after we had received our purchase and asked who was driving a certain vehicle. I told her it was my car. She went on to say in a very condescending tone that the next time I come I need to park in a regular spot. For context: I parked along the side of the building because temperatures in the car were reading 99 degrees. I had my 2 year old and my 73 year mother in the car. I didn’t want them to overheat in the care while I was inside. After being told not to park on the side I politely responded “ok” because I initially thought I may have been blocking the driveway or preventing someone from loading/unloading.

When I went back to my car I asked my mom if someone tried to come through and she told me she only saw a woman come outside. We didn’t appear to preventing anyone from getting in or out. I noticed the owner came outside when we got back to the car. I got out of the car and asked her if I was blocking her from getting out. At this point I’m trying to understand the significance of her patronizing tone when we were in the store. I also explained to her why I parked on the side. She went on to tell me that she needs me to park in a certain spot because she paid $400 to have the parking lot stripped and customers need to use those spots. I said ok to her rediculous justification and got back in my to leave.

This was the most petty interaction I’ve ever experienced with a business owner. Only unhappy and ungrateful people behave this way. I literally ran inside for a few minutes. I did not prevent her from doing business. It was one thing to address the parking, but the passive aggressive behavior was out of line and unnecessary. There was absolutely no harm in my parking there to essentially support you. I’ve recommended this place to so many people and I now regret any dime ever spent. I hope this trivial policy was important enough to lose business over. Good customer is partially learning to discern what battles to pick.

For the turkey and dressing to be $19 a place. I expected real dressing not stuffing. I wanted to support a black owned business and I did in the city but I personally would not go back. The pound cake wasn’t really good to me. I was surprised and the turkey tasted like it wasn’t real turkey. I’m sorry I’m just being honest. I hate giving bad reviews but i wanted to be honest. ‍♀️
