Great Breakfast and Lunch Place. We thrive on serving fresh eggs and omelettes. Homemade muffins and cinnamon rolls and plenty of pancake options to choose from. Our lunch includes large salads and meat filled sandwiches on toasty fresh bread. And of course you cannot leave without trying our homemade fruit and cream pies. See you soon

I’ve been wanting to try this breakfast place for a while now. The restaurant is cute, nicely decorated, warm and cozy. Our server was good. My complaint is that I ordered the strawberry pancakes that come with “fresh strawberries and cream”. Mine came with the strawberry compote and no cream. I asked the server about swapping them out for what I ordered, she said that they don’t have fresh strawberries and only have fresh blueberries and bananas. So their menu is misleading. Because if I’d have known that the pancakes didn’t come with the fresh strawberries I would’ve 100% gotten something different. The pancake itself was good, not as good as the griddle pancakes, but good. I don’t think I’ll be back.

The hostesses were adorable and very capable for their age! It was a longer wait than they said, but that’s ok. My only issue was with my meal. I ordered the corned beef hash with house potatoes, extra crispy. The photo is the leftovers before and after I recooked it. It’s basically a warmed up slice of canned Hormel. If you like that, and soft potatoes, the food is tasty, just super basic. The biscuit was big but pretty dry. Get lots of gravy.

I am not sure about all the 5* reviews on this place? My experience is more aligned with the other 2* reviews. The coffee was watered down and had a weird taste. My corned beef hash came from a can and tasted what I imagine alpo would taste like. The sausage patty had a very unsavory texture and didn’t taste all that great. The fruit was over ripe and mushy. For the price, I expected fresh, quality, and homemade ingredients. The sourdough toast was excellent, so there is that. The service is mediocre, at best, and definitely has room for improvement. The atmosphere is good, it just doesn’t match the other aspects of the overall experience. There are just so many better options out there for breakfast in the TV. The only way this place survives is if it only caters to customers with low expectations. But we have all seen enough restaurants in the area come and go because they couldn’t figure it out.

I’ve now been here a few times and never knew about this gem. Good food always but today was exceptional. I came to eat lunch with a friend which I’m sure was annoying because we are always talking. Keller was very patient with us. And was never in any rush and great attitude about everything. I had the extra sized cinnamon roll (to die for!!) boxed for my kids to enjoy later tonight for dessert. And I promptly forgot it while walking over to the coffee shop. Janet’s was closed by the time I remembered but Keller was waiting with the box. So, so exceptional and wonderful service as well as delicious food. My new favorite place to go to brunch or lunch or breakfast!! Thank you!!

We would have rated Janet’s at one star but our waitress, Stacy, was great, prompt and very friendly! We would have also rated Janet’s 1 star, but the food was excellent and the portions were very generous! Lastly, we considered 1 star but the atmosphere and ambiance of this awesome country breakfast was super inviting and comfortable!
All joking aside- this place is fantastic!!
We loved that they had gluten free pancakes for a wheat allergy need. (Best we’ve ever tasted!)
They even use the soft “hospital ice” in their drinks!
And we also love that they cook with beef tallow and coconut oil. So awesome!
So, in the end, we simply can’t rate Janet’s with 1 star and then flip the script and say to anyone looking for a great breakfast in Eagle, Idaho, that Janet’s is the clear winner! Highly recommend!

Love this little cafe. The food is good and good-sized portions. It’s one of the few places that we can get gluten free waffles and they also always make my poached eggs perfectly. The restaurant is clean and the kitchen is visible from the seating area and it’s also clean. They have a cute display of yummy desserts by the front counter. I’ve never tried any but they look amazing.
The waitstaff and bussers all work hard and seem to work as a team so we always have what we need.
The decor is cute and cozy too.

This place was amazing. So hard to find a good homemade fair priced breakfast/lunch place anymore. Good decor, great service, and atmosphere. This place is going to go far once everyone finds out about it. Wife got a peach caramel Belgian waffle (wasn’t on the menu but were kind enough to make it from a special they had another day). I had the pork chops which were perfectly done, and nice fluffy pancakes. We decided to take home dessert. The brownie is the size of the to go box. Same with the carrot cake, and the chocolate cream pie. Trust me, I know food. You have to try this place!

Not too many of these places left. A true hearty breakfast that leaves you full and has that homemade kitchen flavor. Bring an appetite and enjoy! Say hi to Sean if he’s the one helping you out, good guy.

First vist here and we enjoyed the experience. Janet’s has a nice homey feel that doesn’t feel like a chain type of place. Tasty breakfast with nice flavors. We were pleasantly surprised at the portion size as well which was more generous than most breakfast places. Great GF pancakes!
We were able to share a plate and leave satisfied.
The best part though, was finding out that they don’t use seed oils in their kitchen, instead coconut oil and beef tallow. That’s awesome! I wish more places did that.
Already looking forward to a return visit and trying some different dishes, and a slice of that banana cream pie we saw on the way out.
