This location consistently messes up my Arugula Shrimp Salad to go order. Frequently it has very small amount arugula. Today I asked that the salad be prepared with a lot of arugula stating that previously the arugula wasn’t correct amount …. And without telling me, I was charged for extra arugula … I didn’t order extra arugula , I just wanted the correct amount. ( photo so you can judge for yourself … does this look like extra arugula ? ) Also, the shrimp wasn’t seasoned or cooked per menu description…. Shrimp looks like it’s straight from a freezer bag.
Chicken Salad container in to go case was covered in something sticky … I had to go wash my hands & request a different chicken salad. The chicken salad was tasty. ( I did order the salad without tomato ) I purchased Arugula Shrimp Salad, a pound of chicken salad and a pound of pasta salad to go. Cost approx $40.
I sat at a table while waiting for my order … several tables had to be skipped because needed to be wiped down.

Sunday evening. Not the busiest time. The restaurant wasn’t clean. Tables were not wiped. Some tables still had dishes stacked on them. Some tables had chairs stacked on them. It was close to closing time & there were only 2 other people seated. It wasn’t busy. The plate served was sloppy, with sauce smearing across the table. After paying $7.00 for 2 drinks we weren’t able to even refill our drinks since they’d taken the drink machines apart already. That was a waste of money. Potato Soup was phenomenal. Lobster Bisque left something to be desired. Newks “Q” with their signature white bbq sauce is overrated. The chicken was between fatty & dry & hard from sitting on a hot surface too long, as if they had scraped the bottom of the pan to make the sandwich.

Went in craving a sandwich, and despite it being busy during the lunch rush, I was helped and served very quickly. Both employees I interacted with were polite, and the restaurant was clean. Definitely will return!

The floor was sticky and the tables were dirty when we sat down, and then a worker started cleaning them. We were the only ones inside around dinner time, and the workers were just yelling and cussing and playing around the whole time, which kind of ruined the experience for me and my girlfriend. The food was decent, though probably not worth the money.

Just popped in for a quick online pickup order. Place was jumping! Kind of surprised me. Anyway, food was in a designated pick up area and I retrieved it and was on my way. Would recommend to others.

This is my third time to eat at Newks since January. While there are a lot of places to eat in Mobile, I find myself going back to this place for its outstanding sandwiches and sweet tea with biggest freshest lemon wedges. I always get the Newk’s Club whole with side pasta salad. This meal is just right and gives me a good feeling of enjoyment. It’s also so nice to eat in a clean environment with tables and booths for talking with friends. You get real silverware and quality napkins and extra breads sticks with your salads. Refills on tea are free.
