We stopped at Fort Amargosa Punjabi Dhaba on our way to Death Valley National Park and were blown away. Incredible Punjabi food in such a remote location — truly did not expect this at all. The flavors were authentic, portions generous, and prices very reasonable.
The whole place has a quirky Area 51 / desert outpost vibe, which makes the experience even cooler. Great food, surprising location, and a memorable stop on our road trip. Highly recommend if you’re anywhere near the area — this is one of those places you’ll talk about long after the trip!

Must visit! All options are great. We tried the goat curry with jeera rice along with the aloo paratha. Food pricing is reasonable and servers are friendly and polite.

We stopped by this place while visiting DVNP. It’s located inside a gas station—the menu is huge, affordable, and the food tastes like home-cooked food. The service was slow, as it took almost 20–25 minutes to get our order. Luckily, we were the only ones there at the time, and people who came later had to wait even longer.

A very welcome deviation of the norm in this area, where overpriced junk food reigns supreme. This restaurant has very tasty food, normal serving time, but it was empty, too. If the girl tells you that one paratha isn’t enough for 2, don’t believe her! 🙂

Food here was really fresh and authentic! Took us back to the dhabas back in India. They were able to customize the spice on curries that our kids absolutely loved them and even asked us for take out to eat later! They make everything fresh on demand so please be advised of slightly longer cooking times compared to other restaurants but the wait is worth it! Their chai and lassi were also super fresh.

Great place to stop for a fresh cooked meal. I had the butter chicken which was excellent. If you are traveling through this area plan a stop. So much better than fast food. Great place to take a break.

Authentic Punjabi Dhaba Near Death Valley – Worth a Repeat Visit!
We were honestly surprised to find such authentic Punjabi dhaba, style food near Death Valley. The flavors were spot on, simple , hearty, and exactly like ghar ka khana.
We ordered dal tadka, dal makhani, paneer masala, and rotis, and every dish was comforting and well-balanced. Dals were perfectly cooked with the right tadka, the paneer masala tasted fresh and homemade, and the rotis were soft and just like you’d get at home.
The best compliment- it’s not food only but the service is TOP class. We went back again for lunch.
No unnecessary fancy presentation—just honest food, generous portions, and warm hospitality. If you’re anywhere near Death Valley and craving real North Indian/Punjabi food, this place is a must-stop. Highly recommended!
