I’m not from the area but I’ve heard that it’s a great place to order takeout. I dined in, and had a great meal. I ordered hot and sour soup (on par with what I would get from one of the places in Chinatown in Philly; a little on the spicier side), the Mai Pearl sushi roll (which was fresh and creamy) and the sizzling beef w/black pepper (which was excellent).
The atmosphere was classy and quiet. I saw one older couple at the tables and a bunch of people at the bar. The service was prompt and polite and the food was excellent. Like any Asian fusion place, the amount you spend will vary a lot depending whether you order sushi.

Stopped in for a quick lunch. It was so good. I ordered General Gau’s lunch special on a Sunday. I was pleasantly surprised that the lunch specials are an option every day of the week. That is a win in my book!
The portions were generous. The food was tasty. The server was attentive.
Next time, I am going to carve out more time to eat. Sad I was rushed (my fault) in the end. They were very kind and accommodating.

We went for the first time to try this place after having a bad experience at Conrad’s. We walked out of Conrad’s after being ignored by the staff.
Mai Pearl was almost empty when we came in. The service was quick. The place is clean and well-kept. The food was better than most Chinese restaurants around so maybe this place just needs to get promoted or something for people to try.

What great customer service we had. The sushi was fresh and seafood was super enjoyable!
They have new business hours. They are closed Mondays and Tuesdays. Most nights they close at 9PM with the exception of Fridays and Saturdays when they close at 10PM.
They have a bar, private party room, and enjoyable seating.
I will for sure come back and try more of their tasty sushi!

Food here is always good we get the pu pu platter for two (the might call it something else). We choose chicken wings, chicken fingers, egg rolls, shrimp, and extra crab rangoons. For main dishes we split pad Thai and their house fried rice. The platter was good, everything on their tasted great. The pad thai was good but I wish it had more sauce, unless you really mixed it, it was a little less saucy than others I’ve had. The house rice tastes fresh, I know that’s weird to say but it didn’t taste greasy or anything like other fried rices you might have, it was very pleasant.
Service has always been good for us here, although sometimes it takes a while to get your check but not a huge deal. Drinks are also really good whatever you decide to get.

The rice tasted like it was reheated after being there all week and it was not flavorful (it was hard) chicken wings tasted like they were in oil for 3 hours and also reheated. The only redeemable thing about my meal was the teriyaki beef as at that point I was afraid to eat the egg roll. The only good part about my night was the musical bingo
