1st timers here, from Aitkin. Came for my mom’s 81st birthday on 10/6 /22, though we didn’t tell the waitress it was her special day, as they were really short staffed and I think the cook had some issues with his fryer. But a great, kind, fast waitress, wearing aqua top. Nice, easy to read menus. We came at dinner time, so breakfast wasn’t available. Our table split a BLT sandwich with crinkle fries, and 1 bacon cheeseburger w fries , 1 cheeseburger w/potato salad, along with cheese curds and a Dr Pepper, and 3 waters. Bill came to $33.08. It was easy for my mom, who uses a came, to get into the restaurant. I used the y men’s restaurant, even though I’m a female, but I really had to go, and couldn’t wait! That seemed easier to use, if you had a cane, and maybe even a walker or even wheelchair? I don’t know if the front entrance is handicapped (automatic? ), but it was easy to open). We had a disabled parking placard, but just parked on the street, very easily! Food was great! See my pictures!

We stopped here for lunch while on a road trip of the Great River Road. What a find! Great classic diner food with excellent service in a clean, cute environment. Note that it’s open only for breakfast and lunch.

A small town treasure! Delicious breakfast, lunch and dinner options, daily specials and friendly service make Gabbys Eats and Treats a favorite dining location. Near the Great River Road and Soo Line Trail, Gabby’s is easily accessible for trail riders. Very reasonably priced and generous portions. They do not currently take credit cards.

Good food. Ok service. Priced lower then the palisade cafe. Was frustrated when we took our dad there who’s had gastric bypass surgery and is allowed to order off the kids menu and was denied by the waitress even after showing the proper paperwork. Definitly not a gastric bypass friendly restaurant.

I stop hear often when I travel through town on business. It’s a wonderful change from the corporate eateries offerings and over-priced meals. Instead; get fantastic food, service with personality, and someone who knows how to prepare food. If your near by, you need to stop by and enjoy small town hospitality and good food!

Great local cafe! The food is fresh and tasty. The specials are yummy and coffee is only a dollar! Where else can you get coffee for a dollar these days?! Staff is always friendly and the restaurant is very clean.
