This restaurant is a sigh of relief from the big and flashy Mexican restaurants that have taken over this area. The waiter was also the table cleaner, the cashier, and the bartender. Nonetheless the service and the food were great. The carne asada nachos were delicious. The meat was not overcooked. The chips were fresh, as were the onions and cilantro that came with it. This restaurant reminded me of the hole in the wall restaurants my family and I would frequent when I was young. If you’re looking for an authentic Mexican restaurant in Wichita Falls, this place is where you need to go. Highly recommend this place.

An Okay Spot, but Not My Favorite
The food here was decent, but it definitely had its flaws. The salsa left much to be desired—it wasn’t my favorite. Also, happy hour is only Monday through Saturday, which was kind of a bummer.
The ambiance is okay, but the vibe feels mismatched and a little all over the place. The music was also pretty loud, which made it hard to fully enjoy the atmosphere.
On the bright side, the ramen portions are huge—absolutely massive—and packed with cheese if that’s your thing.
Overall, it’s an okay place to eat, but it’s definitely not my favorite Mexican dining experience.

EVERYTHING was excellent and authentic. This is not a TexMex restaurant for Gringos who can’t handle authentic and/or spicy food. This food is legit! Chips and Salsa – Chips were a bit stale but still edible, it was also close to closing time. But the Salsa, oof, sooooo good. You get a green and red salsa. The green is creamy and brings the heat. The red was also spicy. Both were excellent. We couldn’t stop eating them, and we put it on our food. Incredible sabores (flavors). Hubby and I had the Molcajete Guerro and Michelada. BEST Molcajete we have ever ordered, anywhere! When we go back we will ask for a side of Napolitos (“Cactus” for the Gringos). We shared the Molcajete and still had leftovers for both of us the next day! Well worth the trip and affordable. Stefanie, our Server, was joyful and caring. She was the sweetest girl, and we will ask for her when we come in, again. Go try the food. It’s worth the drive!

Came here two days in a row. First day I had the Asada fries, guacamole bowl, and fajitas with some friends. We split the appetizers and it was delicious.
The asada itself was packed with savory taste.
Guac bowl had so much flavor and the consistency was perfect to scoop with the tortilla chips.
When the food came out, my group of 6 very rambunctious chatty individuals went silent. There was a moment that we all fell silent and gave the food our undivided attention as our senses demanded we focus all on taste.
I came here 2 days in a row because the moment I woke up the following day, all I could think of was eating here again!

Probably the BEST birria tacos I’ve ever had. The consomme was so dang good! We also got the chicken and steak tacos, reported those were good as well. My dad was not super impressed with his fajitas, but said they were still good. He’s also just picky.
They have a red and a green salsa which the rest of my party liked but I thought was too spicy. I’ve also got a crap spice tolerance though!
The food did take a while to come out, but it was definitely worth the wait. Servers only checked on us a few times and we had to hunt someone down to pay.
Music is playing the entire time and they had a screen with a movie that could have also been playing, so keep that in mind if you’re concerned about noise levels.
All in all, a good experience! Would come again if I lived in the area.

So so so good. Very authentic, savory flavors. We are from South Texas and I have been missing this flavor. Different menu from the basic enchiladas, tacos and quesadillas. We had the Chili Colorado, fajitas and street tacos for my daughter. Rice is orange and fluffy. Beans have flavor. 10/10 will be eating here again and again

Oh.My.Gawd!! Los Abuelos was fantastic! The food was beyond delicious! My leftovers(Molcojete) could feed 3 people, it’s insane! Service was great! And the atmosphere was chill.
I WILL say, I wanted to leave a tip but the credit card receipt wouldn’t allow it so we left cash. I hope that’s not an insult to leave a tip when that option is not there.
If you are looking for great Mexican food, this place is a diamond in the rough!!
GO CHECK EM OUT. YOU WON’T BE DISAPPOINTED
