Went for dinner and were quite pleased with everything. The venue is very clean, service was friendly and fast, and the food was excellent. We moved here from Portland, and this is the best Indian food we’ve experienced in Utah (We’ve tried six places so far). We ordered the Lollipop Chicken, Butter Chicken, Cheese Naan, and Lamb Rogan Josh. All were well spiced, good level of heat, and very enjoyable. They came back to make sure the spice level was what we were looking for. The restaurant is very inviting, and the server was regularly checking back with us to make sure we had everything we needed. We will definitely be back.

Wonderful decor, atmosphere, and service! Food was INCREDIBLE! It was pretty slow which was surprising judging on how good the food was so that was the reason for 4 star on atmosphere. We got the Chilli Gobi (this was sooooo good), Medium Spice Chicken Tikka Masala (not as spicy as we expected), and Garlic Cheese Naan (probs the best I’ve ever had). 10/10 recommend and we will be returning!

This place replaced Aroma Indian restaurant and it’s just as good. Loved the Peshwari naan. Both the Andhra chicken and tikka masala were excellent. The decor is very nice. Only one guy serving the whole dining room, so it was a little slow. Suggestion: Maybe play some music in the restaurant to make it feel more lively.

This was my family’s first trip to Jalwa since it used to be the former Aroma Indian restaurant that we have patronized for years. The new interior refresh is nice, modern, and inviting…and a pleasant departure from the typical Indian restaurant… Although I think some modern cultural artwork, paintings, and decorations would be very fitting as an add-on to the Jalwa restaurant.
Our waiter was very pleasant although spoke in hushed tones…and it was difficult to hear him. He also got a little confused as to what we were looking forwith respect to just wanting the papadums with chutney (which is a standard appetizer at most Indian restaurants that Iclve patronized,) but instead we got vegetable pakora with chutney and just plain papadums on the side. Nevertheless it was all delicious.
My wife’s main entree was the butter chicken and we both shared an aloo saag. I had my go-to chicken vindaloo and it was delicious. The portion size are humongous, which is a nice departure from the typical Indian restaurant where you pay $15 and get maybe half the bowl that Jalwa provides. Overall excellent experience and will be back to patronize more often.

Oh and they’re new updated and revised menu is awesome! Dozens and dozens of options and it took us at least 10 minutes to get through it all to figure out what we wanted.!

Recently been there for dinner thinking it’s a new place. However found out it’s rebranded and its aroma food. I had ordered from aroma in past and it was terrible. But I hoped for good food and services. I ordered soya chap 65, paneer briyani and paneer butter masala. None of them were good! It was sooooo bad I’ve no idea how can they serve this bad of food. We asked for medium paneer briyani. First of all it wasn’t biryani. There was taste of raw masala and it was spicier than hot level. We were unable to eat it. The paneer butter masala gravy was watery and there were hardly 7-8 pieces of paneer in there. The quantity of everything was so less I was amazed. Now that there are so many Indian places in valley they don’t even compare. Please dont go there to waste your money and time and mood. We left the place in under 10 minutes and paid in full and added a tip. The only resolution to their 100 level hot rice was they asked us to get a mango lassi which we did. Didn’t want to spend extra but anyway.

Best Indian food in greater Salt Lake City. I’ve literally tried them all.
Exceptional Naans. Loads of flavor. Good portions of curry with no skimping on protein. This restaurant takes spicing seriously. I normally order medium spice at other restaurants, but mild is my happy place here.
For kidos, order the Mango Chicken Curry. Loads of flavor but none of the burn!

We had such a great experience at Jalwa Indian Grill. The food was honestly amazing—full of flavor, fresh, and perfectly spiced. Every dish tasted like it was made with care, and the portions were generous.

The staff was welcoming and attentive, and the atmosphere felt clean and comfortable. It’s one of those places where you leave feeling completely satisfied. Definitely one of our favorite spots for Indian food—we’ll be back again soon!

We had such a great time here. The food was honestly so good, fresh, flavorful, and perfectly spiced. You can really tell they put care into how everything is prepared. Every dish we tried was delicious and came out hot.

The atmosphere felt warm and comfortable, and the staff was friendly and attentive without being overwhelming. Even when it was busy, everything moved smoothly, and we didn’t feel rushed.

Overall, it was just a really nice dining experience. Good food, good vibes, and great service. Definitely deserves 5 stars, and we’ll be back again.

My husband and I decided to give this restaurant a try and we were not disappointed!
I had the Chicken Tikka Masala (mild heat) and my husband had the Butter Chicken (medium heat). Both were served with basmati rice and we also ordered a side of garlic butter naan and cheese naan.
All of the food was very good! We plan on introducing our adult children and their spouses when they’re in town as they are lovers of Indian food.
The server(s) were very kind and the atmosphere was nice. We will definitely be back.
