I’ve been here a dozen times or more and try to make it a stop every time I am Gold Canyon. Food is great. Best potatoes I’ve ever had. I am mainly a breakfast guy here but been buy once for lunch and the burger was amazing. It was followed up by a brownie with ice cream and chocolate drizzle. Awesome!

We visited Li’l Miner Diner for the first time after a group bike ride. There were 13 of us, and we arrived around 11:30 a.m.
As we arrived, the server expressed concern about us being a large group and mentioned several times that groups should call ahead. I asked if she would prefer that we leave, and she said no, but the overall tone felt a bit tense and unwelcoming.
All of our group chose to sit outside, but when the last few people arrived, we asked if we could bring three unused chairs from inside so everyone could sit together. There was room to put them at the end of the tables outside. The chairs inside were identical to the outdoor chairs and were not being used. The server checked with the manager, and we were told no, without explanation.
We tried to make things easier by asking if a couple of us could place our order early to help the kitchen, but the server refused, saying she would not take an order until everyone was ready.
Once we were able to order, it took about an hour for our food to arrive. The food was good and flavorful, which we appreciated and enjoyed. There was, however, an awkward moment when a plate of food was set down and a friend of ours started eating the fries, a few minutes later when the majority of the fries were gone it was then picked up and taken to another table because it was the wrong order. The other patron who received the plate also happened to be our friend and later they talked about how they had very few fries.
Overall, the food was tasty, and I would consider returning in the future, just not with a large group. The staff seemed unprepared for a group our size, and the experience could have been much more positive with a bit more flexibility and friendliness.

Went at 9:45 am and didnt get my.food until 10:45am. Waited an hour for the food. It was ok. Got the check and noticed that the price of the eggs was higher than was stated on the menu. Was informed by the waitress that the price of eggs had gone up and they had to adjust the price. Would’ve been great to have been informed about that before ordering. Maybe changing the menu’s price would’ve alleviated any confusion. Would not recommend coming here.

Usually I love this place. I usually get a mushroom and Swiss burger with chicken instead of beef and a bowl of French onion soup and get it where ever I can. Since it’s so hard to find. This time was the 1st time I did a to go order. I order bowl of French onion and fries. Got home to see my soup was just onions and very salty broth no toast or cheese and couldnt eat it. For here: French Onion soup, to go: Onion Soup or broth. I called and the girl said since it was to go we don’t add the toast or cheese, ( they should mention that) so you’re paying full price for an incomplete item just because it’s to go. I wish I was told then I could have went to bashes and got the stuff to make for my self.

Waited almost an hour for our food. No one advised that the wait would be that long. When I asked, they said it was crowded, even though it’s a small restaurant and still had plenty of seating. Then when I questioned the price of my three eggs and toast should be $6.99, the waitress said they haven’t changed the menu prices for the price of the eggs. The prices of eggs have gone down. I used to visit the place in Superior, but I won’t patronize this place, anymore.
No, the time we waited was more like 45-50 minutes. If you had offered an explanation, it would have been nice, but we had to approach you to get an answer. This is bad service. No apologies, just excuses. Funny how the people that sat behind us didn’t wait that long even though they were seated about 30 minutes after us. I don’t think the meal was even started till after all of the people left.
Maybe you should cover the prices of the items you change or put signs at the table or by the door as you enter. I’m not looking at a menu at the front counter, i’m seated at the table.

This place feels like breakfast was invented here—pancakes the size of steering wheels, bacon so crispy it could double as desert kindling, and coffee that hits harder than the morning sun. Cozy, old-school vibes, friendly staff, and just enough chaos to keep it interesting. If you don’t leave here full enough to question your life choices, you didn’t order right.
