Honestly, I shouldn’t be surprised by what I witnessed today while waiting for my food at Papa John’s. I placed my order as usual — no complaints there, the staff are always friendly whether I call in or order in person.
Today, however, I decided to wait inside for my food. I was told it would be about a 20-minute wait — fine, no problem. While I was waiting, I noticed one of the employees (the guy with long hair in a ponytail) boxing pizzas. At first, everything seemed normal until I saw him repeatedly touch his face and then go right back to handling food — grabbing peppers and placing them in boxes — without washing his hands. I also saw him pick up breadsticks with his bare hands after them falling onto the counter a not into the box to put them into the box, and then move on to tagging boxes and making pizzas without ever washing up.
Another employee doing the packing was doing the same thing — touching his face, then food — until he noticed me watching. Only then did he start using the red tongs that are clearly meant for the peppers.
I understand it’s hot working near the oven, but basic hygiene should never be optional. Use your arm to wipe sweat if needed, or take a quick moment to wash your hands. Watching this happen really made me lose confidence in how the food is handled at this location. If you order food here just don’t sit inside and watch the process.

This is what I got from my doordash order tonight. I was disappointed because we decided to have a lazy dine-in pizza day for Valentine due to all the crazy traffic and accidents today just to receive this. Quality just keeps going down at this location, I will no longer be ordering from here. Last time, they just heated my boneless wings and slapped sauce on top without mixing it and wrapped it in aluminum foil, thinking it was okay. They need to train their staffs better or get folks who actually wants to work or do something about management.
Also made a formal complaint. Hopefully, more people will because it seems like they don’t give a shit about quality the past few times.

We ordered pizza for delivery last night, which was Halloween night and we live in college hill so we left a hefty tip and expected them to be super busy. They used DoorDash to deliver the pizza, which is totally understandable, especially on busy evenings like Halloween. What is not understandable is the DoorDash delivery driver being able to deliver multiple other orders ahead of yours in areas nowhere near you and getting your food delivered cold and extremely late (it was a scheduled delivery time and was over 30 minutes late). If we would have known that would be the case, we would have just used DoorDash and paid the extra fee to have it delivered straight to us but that was not an option through papa John’s.

App says pizza ready in 20 minutes. Arrive at store at 20 minutes. Food was not ready and was told it would be another 20 to 30 minutes. After almost an hour I got the pizza and wings which were lukewarm to cold at best. I won’t be back.

The food here has never let me down! It’s extremely affordable. The service is a bit lacking at time, but I’ve never had any major problems. The garlic sauce and the spicy garlic sauce is the best part of the entire pizza. Pizza is almost always ready on time.

I rarely feel moved enough by people anymore to seek out posting a review, but I want to make sure everyone knows this Papa John’s is amazing, and specifically, Shandi! She always go above and beyond in customer service and keeping a positive inviting atmosphere. I probably order here too often, but let’s just say I have enough visits to this location under my belt to know that it remains a consistent trend of great experiences. If I’ve ever gotten a subpar order or something small was off, it has been nothingggggg in comparison to the issues I’ve had with other pizza chains, and never anything negatively memorable. Consistently delicious food made correctly and always fresh FANTASTIC JOB team, and THANK YOU, Shandi for always being great and always reminding me there’s good people still left in this world. E. I honestly do not know how to star this review. This was absolutely the worst experience we’ve ever had but I do not put this on the staff working. I put this on the management and higher ups. It’s Saturday night, big softball tournament in town. Do you just need to hire more staff or what? After an hour past our delivery time my husband went to the store. He witnessed the chaos. But where is the GM? Where’s the owner? Why are these rmployees struggling to make it thru this night with no help? I’ve work in the industry and have since I was 15 yo. I know the hustle and I know when a store has potential but is going to trash bc of management. This is on you!

I’ve never once had a good experience here. I try delivery – cold and takes forever even during dead times. In-store- they always mess it up. I’ve given this store so many chances – and they ALWAYS come up short, and they never seem to care.

Ordered on the app ahead of time for Super Bowl Sunday. The staff worked extremely hard despite how crazy busy they were. Kudos to them for also handling some less pleasant customers. I would definitely recommend others to order here as they work hard and make some good food!
