Reviews
This was my husband’s first Brazilian steakhouse, and since we were visiting California, it felt like the perfect opportunity for him to experience one. I’ve been to several larger Brazilian steakhouses before, and this location is definitely more intimate in size, which has its own charm.
The market table was wonderful—an impressive selection of hot and cold items, meats, cheeses, and fresh salads. Everything was well presented and thoughtfully curated. Service was truly top-notch from start to finish; attentive, friendly, and well-paced throughout the meal.
That said, the meats themselves didn’t quite live up to my expectations compared to similar concepts I’ve enjoyed elsewhere. Because the restaurant wasn’t very full, it seemed like the gauchos were frequently going back to the grill to re-fire meats, and some cuts suffered as a result. We were served filet mignon that was well done, and the spicy sausage was a bit overcooked as well. The picanha—normally my favorite cut—was surprisingly under-seasoned.
I was also a little surprised that some of the more special items, like lamb chops and beef ribs, had to be specially requested rather than flowing naturally, which isn’t what I’m used to at this style of restaurant.
The standout meats for us ended up being the beef rib (which arrived very late in the meal) and the flank steak—both excellent. Overall, the experience was pleasant, and I’m glad we went, but at a high price point—$212 for two people including tip, each with one mixed drink—I was hoping for a more memorable first-time experience for my husband.
Would I say it was lovely? Yes. Would I rush back? Probably not. I can’t help but feel the experience may shine more when the restaurant is busier and the meat service is flowing more consistently. Still, the service and ambiance were excellent, and I appreciate supporting a restaurant with only two locations.
Service is excellent and food is top notch quality. Only critique is the meat can be very salty but most od the time it was amazing.
Buffet in center is good and offers a good amount of hot and cold dishes.
Dessert options are great as well!
For an early Valentine’s dinner, my husband and I were joined by our three neighbors at Churrasco. This was their first time visiting the restaurant, and together we enjoyed a memorable evening.
We chose to indulge in the full Rodizio, which offered a wide variety of meats served continually by the attentive Gauchos. The Market Table provided an abundant selection of options, ensuring that everyone was satisfied even before the main courses arrived. Each meat selection was delicious and perfectly prepared, contributing to the overall enjoyment of the meal.
Alongside the meats, we enjoyed side dishes including mashed potatoes, fried polenta, plantains. These accompaniments complemented the main courses and rounded out the dining experience.
To conclude our meal, we shared two desserts: flan and lemon cake. As a cancer survivor, I am mindful of my dietary limitations and appreciated how Churrasco was able to accommodate my needs.
Service and Recommendations
Our evening was made even more enjoyable by the wonderful staff. Our primary waiter, cute Jerry, was attentive and engaging, with assistance from Michael. The entire service team contributed to making the evening special.
Overall, we highly recommend Churrasco for anyone seeking a delightful dining experience with excellent food and service.
The food was delicious, and they offer 17 different cuts of meat, and all the meats are rotisserie grilled and sliced at your table. They offer beef, pork, lamb, And chicken. All the meats had great flavors and were very tender. They also offered a gourmet fresh market table buffet, which includes 50 different side dishes like salads, mushroom risotto, deli meats, and cheeses.
The service was excellent and our waiter was very friendly and attentive. In fact all the staff members were great including what they call “The Gauchos”. These are the staff members who bring out the meat and sliced it for you at your table.
The restaurant is spacious with numerous seating and it was beautifully decorated. They also offer a bar area and outdoor seating.
Overall, this was a fantastic and unique experience at this restaurant. The food, the service, and the ambiance were all great, and we will definitely return when we visit Palm Springs, California, again.
