This is not a swanky kind of place. This a small town, big personality, amazing food kind of place. Donna is wonderful and makes you feel so very welcome instantly. I will be back here again and again.

This place is wonderful and the owner is super friendly and welcoming. My husband and I were looking at homes in the area and she sat with for a while to give us some insider knowledge. The food just topped off the experience. Everything is made from scratch so plan to spend some time just relaxing and shooting the breeze with the other patrons while she cooks up your order.
The homemade Clam Chowder was soul warming. The iced tea was good and strong without being bitter. Portions are hearty and you definitely get your money’s worth.
My husband ordered the Prime Rib dip with horseradish, and it was the most explosive savory experience he’s had in a long time. All of the veggies were fresh, the cheese and abundant and the rolls crust was well crisped.
I had the Grinder and it awesome. Chicken bacon, cheese. And tangy Ceasar dressing. It came fresh out of the oven and my only complaint was that I ate too much Clam Chowder to get through even half the sandwich.
We highly recommend this place and hope to be able to return after we make our move to WA.

This was an amazing find for dinner!!! We came out of MRNP looking for dinner and am so happy we stumbled across Wagon Wheel. Donna was hospitable and we took her word on what to order and she did not disappoint! We shared a bowl of clam chowder to start and got the Bacon Chicken Caesar Grinder and salad and the Mushroom Swiss Burger with fries. The portions were huge and we both had another meal leftover. If you’re thinking about stopping here… you should!

We’ve been going to The Wagon Wheel for at least 15 years and had memorable birthday dinners, homecoming dinners, breakfasts, and drinks. Sadly, all of those great memories were ruined today when we met for Sunday brunch with our family. The large sign outside reads “Family Restaurant & Lounge”. We went in, ordered beverages, placed our food order, and were chatting when the owner came over yelling at us that it’s a bar children aren’t allowed and she had no clue who we were but that she would make an exception and serve us. She then proceeded to the bar to loudly talk badly about us to the other patrons. Obviously we left. And we would never spend another dime there.

The owner and chef literally made my day. She has such a great personality and sense of humor. The food was great! She even made tartar sauce from scratch just for me. The service was amazing! Don’t keep driving by this place like I had for so long.

This place waws amazing. Stopped for lunch after a great hiking trip after finding this place on our way home. The clam chowder honestly is the best I’ve had I highly recommend trying it. Everything else was perfect and the customer service is how it should be everywhere. Super friendly and welcoming and would certainly return again when I’m in the area!

The owner is what keeps this small town joint open and busy! She’s not only the chef but hospitality host as well. Having been once before, at least 2 months prior, she remembered our group and greeted us like old friends. Her clam chowder is recommended but I you have got to try her prime rib. This is a bar and the jukebox is loud and a few of the regulars can be found dancing around the tables and chairs after one too many cocktails but I still maintain that if you want to get some free entertainment and excellent food, this is the place. I won’t recommend it as family oriented however, there is a front dining room away from the bar area that is quieter than the back.

It is owned by a local woman who just happens to be an amazing great chef. She also waitresses the tables and is such a nice and friendly person. We were treated like royalty. This Pandemic almost put her out of business, but not for ingenious persistence this small town of South Prairie, wa. Would not have a restaurant. The food was delicious and everything was prepared after you ordered it. Nothing was made prior to order. If you are looking for great food with a down home feel, THIS IS THE PLACE.

Back operates as a bar & front as restaurant, but definitely have a bar mentality if you choose to stop here. We stopped for a quick bite down the street from our RV park before a motorcycle ride when we first got to the area- Quick it definitely was not. Friendly but flighty gal, Owner? had us sit in bar area, we weren’t drinking but no problem. To be fair, she had zero help, doing everything by herself, food took an hour (hot sandwich & burger) the guy next to us warned us the same but sadly not before ordering & already waiting. Bar commentary from the local(s) was entertaining but would not amuse everyone. Food was good but not worth our time, turned out to be a very short ride which was rather disappointing since we were excited about it. Would have walked there often in our 2 weeks but it was a definite never again for us. If you’re just going to chill at the local bar, fine, but I’d advise against it as a “restaurant” stop- Trapper’s was my local favorite.
